Looks great! Much improved I'd say.

THis is just my personal opinion, but dont you think its a bit awkard to hold the handle like that??

It's a bad illustration, I admit.

However, that handle is not meant for carrying long term.

It's meant for pulling. For example, pulling your bag out of the overhead bin on a train or airplane.

Interesting ideas with the different carrying methods. Will backpack straps come standard? I assume the keyboard bag is optional? is there a natural built-in pocket for a keyboard?

Looks like the general design has progressed from being a "tactical" carrying case that looks technical in nature, to a bag that is more similar to conventional carry-on luggage with a sleek design (Briggs & Riley, Cote & Ciel).

One of the things I liked about the original design was the "gadget tray" with overlapping elastic straps, for securing odd-shaped items (bundles of cords, mouse, battery pack, etc). Will this have something similar? I would like to have a dedicated spot for wrapped up USB cable, power cable, DisplayPort cable, etc, to always have one on hand.

Will answer other questions soon.

Is the transition from more “tactical” to more “technical” a good thing or bad thing?

We are debating this internally, The bag is now more versatile for professionals. Version 1 had a more tactical look, but it doesn’t play well in office environments. So i’m curious what people think about it.

I am so much more into this new version.
The first version reminds me too much of Cargo Pants..

I think to answer that, it really depends on your use case. Personally, I think carrying around a full desktop computer is inherently dorky. Lol. And so for that reason, I think I feel like having an obviously "technical" bag (V1), like a camera bag, seems to be more appropriate. V2 looks more similar to traditional luggage, which you're right, would definitely blend in to a modern office a little better. I plan to only use my bag recreationally, and so personally, I liked the technical look of V1. That said I have not seen professional shots of V2 yet so maybe my opinion would change seeing them in the same style of photoshoot. I like to think I'm pretty hip, probably like most people here, and I do like sleek lines and designs of Cote & Ciel, etc, for some things in my life. But I feel like carrying a desktop PC is similar to carrying, for example, a bunch of camera gear, and so having a bag that appears technical in nature seems like a more natural fit to me. I also think I prefer the top-loading method, V2 looks like it needs to lay down and load from the side.

I think if both V1 and V2 were available for purchase, right now I would prefer V1. But I don't represent all customers. I will still be buying either one that becomes available. ;)

The design philosophy is a travel bag with a speciality for carrying a desktop + laptops for trips.

At 48*31*22.5cm, it’s a weekender / gym bag size.

It’s smaller than version 1 fully loaded (50 x 30 x 25cm or ≈ 20 x 12 x 10in)

wahaha360 how will dan case will fit in this bag?? how to ensure it wont move during the transport basically how to keep it secure

I could not agree more. I hope I can still purchase the V1

I understand deciding to move in a different direction than "tactical", but the V2 just doesn't look as refined in terms of design choices. To give the best feeling: V2 is almost like a knock-off with how plain and boxxy the details are now.

The features i.e. hidden straps and slots are smart. The backpack straps have a rather large gap due to the clips being at the top. From my experience with hiking and backpacking, the more the bag separates from the body the less comfortable i.e. you start leaning forward to counter weight the load's moment.

It’s a manufacturing / quality control constraint. That’s why we cannot deviate from the current design too much.

We are using Cordura, and a proven mfg process. A company like Briggs Riley, Tumi / Samsonite or Victorinox will sell this bag for $200-$300 at least, if that’s the price people are willing to fork over, we can invest in some tooling and assembly to change the look.

However, if the goal is to maintain luggage quality and below $150, given this is a low volume product. We don’t have the resources to do so.

For those of you who don’t know, we were dumped by 2 companies for V1 bag due to low volume. I practically had to twist the arm of another company to convince this mfg to work with us at low volume.

Regarding the backpack straps. It’s also for temporary transport, not long trips. A desktop + keyboard + accessories can easily reach 8-10kg, it’s just better to be stacked on a rolling suitcase for traveling longer distance.

I know blackstrap comfort is a concern for people. It has not been a issue for me. I will also post some pics soon to clarify.

Thank you for your work on this wahaha360. I can only imagine how difficult a project like this is. With the recent SFF spotlight I hope you find a good audience with this! It deserves it IMO. Sorry to hear that it hasn't been straightforward yet. When I travel to see my gamer friends (in town or otherwise) we always try to "roll our rigs" to the same place for some LAN action. This would be the perfect bag for that with my SFF case. Keeping my eyes peeled for a preorder link.

V2 looks much better. Tactical look is corny and inelegant, doesn't follow the aesthetic of the NCase at all.

I had a bag once that was designed to be a backpack/messenger bag. It had backpack straps that you could hide in a very similar fashion to what you have shown here. I recommend that you spend some time with the prototype filled with a full/heavy load and look at what happens with the zippered opening that the backpack straps come out of. That opening on my old bag was always gaping wide open and it looked like the straps were trying to pull the bag inside out. It really didn’t look good, but that was because of the specific way the straps were attached I think. You should fill your bag with a loaded M1 and lift it by the backpack straps and see what it looks like.

The best way I can think of to describe the ugliness of my old bag is that when it was being held up by the backpack straps, it kind of looked like a frog hanging by it’s tongue.

Is V2 the same size or a similar size as V1?

Will either accommodate a Kimera Cerberus?

Some shots of the compartmens and insides would be interesting, but personally speaking I don't like the new v2's aesthetics. The new shoulder strap is nice though

This seems to be a less popular opinion, but I quite like the way the new bag looks. The old one is still amazing, but it looked kind of awkward being carried by the shoulder strap. It just didn't look like something that should be a shoulder bag, if that makes sense. The new one looks like it'll be able to more fully adapt aesthetically to whatever carry style the wearer decides, and with the added option of back straps, that's more important here than it was in the v1. I second that request for internal shots, though. I'm curious to see how, if at all, the new form factor affects functionality.

I think it is VERY appealing aesthetics! Much less "cargo-pants"-ish, way more business/clean looking. :) Good job!

Is there a way to purchase the first version anywhere? The new one really looks boring and stripped down :-(

V2 looks more elegant (to me) than V1, do you have a preorder date?

Working on Kickstarter campaign now, need to reach minimum quantity to get close to the price of V1.

As soon as it’s approved, we go live.

Still like V1 looks better?

V1 is more practical, plus it is smaller in size and for me personally it looks better. But you made curios how the screen fits in the bag :) If I am able to carry around my pc AND my monitor in one case I may buy the new one :-D

V1 and V2 are the same size.

Personally think it looks great and was eagerly looking forward to another release of this bag! Throwing money at the screen....
