wow, a lan in the DFW area. have not seen one in a while and have not been to one in years. used to go for the file sharing primarily......is that still done now a days?

would be nice to lug my ancient Lian Li PC-76 to a lan for some old skool file sharing.

*reminiscing on old QuakeCon days*

EDIT: not much info on this lan. who do I ask about file sharing?

Haha well now days the file sharing is not such a needed practice lol. Back in the day before broadband or streaming media we needed it to stock our xvid library but it can still happen.

You can ask me or email any of the contact us links at the bottom of the page.

The FRAG is one of the oldest events and bringing it back for old school fun is my job.

and good old real player files. I started storing/hoarding DVD iso's once Netflix DVD came about. Had a rig with 6 DVD drives from various manufactures to deal with the various security features some DVD's would employ. Now I just rip a bluray and make mkv's.

call me old fashion. now a days I just need the occasional piece of software. never been a torrent fan.

i'll contact you for some questions.

What's the BYOC capacity? I'd like to go... $55 is a little steep if it's going to be like 15 people.

I hope it's a good turn out. we need more small-medium lans to succeed. quakecon, for me, lost that lan feeling a LONG time ago and have not been back since.

the last event that I went to that [H]ardOCP had any fingers in was ROG Con which had lots of potential. I think my case or monitor might have that registration sticker. =P
$55 did make me do a double take but I have been lan deprived for so long that I am willing to pay it with the hopes of it becoming a local thing and successful with the possibility of price coming down once the organizers know that they can count on at least a certain number of ppl that will show up to each event. for all we know, $55 tickets are sold at a loss or just barely to break even. having sponsors help but most lans depend on ppl showing up to make it worth while and volunteers working for free to put it all together and making it work. although, this seems to be a bigger deal. =P

Purchasing mine tonight. Won’t stay he entire time due to short notice but happy to support the local lan scene!

why was my payment refunded
I refunded everyone and made the event Free. Had to keep one cent to keep you in the system though. So I owe ya a penny ;)

There was a ordering issue with the venue and they got the wrong electrical stringers so we are moving the event from the floor in the arena to the VIP lounge and concourse. This is a test event for the venue and I am glad it happened with this one instead of the big ones planned and marketed properly.

So apparently I'm too late to the party and the BYOC is now sold out. Any idea if there will be a "first come first serve" or seat expansion? Was looking forward to this.
