Just did the yearly winback trick to get the price down for my mobile subscription. I get 5000 min & 5000 sms/mms, unlimited data (up to 150 Mbit/s) in Nordic and Baltic countries, 10 GB of EU/ETA roaming data for 18,90 € (inc. 24% VAT) / month for one year. No strings attached.

Google Project Fi, $25 a month all taxes and fees included.

Only worth it if you work at home and or under wifi 90% of your day/night. For the $25 you get 1GB of data. Unlimited text.
 
I'm on T-Mobile's Simple Choice 6GB plan with 3 lines, unlimited mins/SMS, 6GB 4G/LTE data (which is pretty much unlimited with their Binge-On feature that doesn't count data from most video/music streaming services) for $100/month.

May not be as cheap as OP's plan, but I'm in 'Murica so that automatically wins :p.
 
T-Mobile prepaid unlimited talk/text/data (first 10GB on 4G LTE) for $50/month including taxes/fees. I buy my phones from Swappa, so it's just about the perfect plan for me.
 
I'm on T-Mobile, One. Unlimited everything. I'm paying $40. And of course that's done by dividing the cost amongst 4 people.
 
I'm on an ATT business plan. 4 phones, 16 GB per month. I don't remember what we pay but it's not a lot. I'll switch my personal phone over to Google Fi once I sell this business. The other three are my family members....two are iPhone users and I'm trying to get my wife to switch to a Pixel so I can migrate her to Fi as well.
 
I'm paying $140/160 for 5 lines on T-Mobile. But I'm not using the fifth line at all. I got that line after a free promotion. (There's a $5 discount per line, excluding the free line, for autopay.)

IMO Google Fi is not a very good deal. There are much better MVNO's that offer better value... but each to their own.

Google Project Fi is awesome. For around $25 to $35+ ( all taxes/fees included ) you get 1GB Data and Unlimited Text.

Here is a screen grab of my monthly billing over the past 12 months or so.

Google Project Fi uses 3 different carries for it's service. Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.

Project Fi automatically switches to the best tower near you taking into account coverage and speed. If you want, you can force a change via # codes and or an app.

If you're under Wifi at work, public and home then 1GB is more than enough. You can still use GPS, search for restaurants, movie times etc and not use all your data.

If you're a tweener, teen, young person and still stream music on the go, watch videos on the go, Facebook etc on the go, then no, it's not going to be for you.

First off how is 35$ for 1GB of data good. Google Fi uses Sprint which is garbage IMO and T-mobile. I would get Mint MVNO. They use t-mobile towers, and you can get much more data plus unlimited text and mins for the same price.

It's not $35 ... it's $10 for 1GB of Data. After 6GB's of data, High Speed LTE is Free up til around 13GB or 15GB, I do not remember which.

I'm all a bout saving money. I'll take a look at this Mint MVNO. Thanks.

My only problem with Google Fi is that it's only available with Google phones. If I could use it on a non-Google phone like my OnePlus 5, I'd switch to it instantly.
 
Wife has Verizon (it's the only service that works reliably in the mountains where we live).

I think we pay $80 for one line, unlimited text, 5GB data.

Not the best deal going. We were doing 2 lines (one for my father), and it was $109 I think.

I get my phone via ATT at work - no idea what they pay, they have a rather large service contract with rollover everything. Service in our area sucks, I can't make calls reliably on the road to/from work driving through the foothills, but I don't pay for it so /shrug.

I can't see that link at work at the moment, but yeah you can use any unlocked phone on Fi, but the phone will pretty much be stuck on T-Mobile's network and can not switch to Sprint's (either automatically or manually) network like the Google (and new Moto X4) phones can. Not too big of a deal if T-Mo is good in your area and I'd say most places T-Mo will have the same or better coverage than Sprint.

I don't know anyone with one of the phones listed as compatible for activating GF on another phone. Guess I could buy a Pixel 2, use it to activate GF on my OP5, then return the Pixel.

it is actually free for me because work reimburses me for the plan.
 
So basically you can use Fi on any phone but you first have to initially place the FI sim in a Nexus or Pixel phone? For most people without a google phone that is still a limitation that falls in the not compatible bucket.
 
I've been using Mintsim for the past 4 months. $51.56 for 3 months of unlimited call/text and 2 gigs data per month.
 
I have T-Mobile, 118 a month for two lines. Unlimited everything + 7GB of tethering.
 
I don't get unlimited data, but I might as well have it based on my usage habits:

I'm on Rogers in Canada and pay $60 CAD (about $48) per month for unlimited countrywide calling, unlimited texts and 10GB of data. The trick is that this requires either going BYOD or paying full price for phones, and that it won't work as a shared plan (i.e. I couldn't tack on a smartwatch or tablet). But that's fine by me -- I was already buying unlocked phones and have no need for other devices, so this saves me roughly $40 per month that I can put toward, well, new phones. Much easier to justify a high-end phone every two years when my bill savings effectively cover the purchase.
 
I'm on Comcast for home internet. So I'm debating whether to go to the Comcast Mobile (on Verizon's network). Comcast Mobile (or Xfinity Mobile) is free talk, text, and 100MB of data with up to 5 lines with no line fees. Each gig of shared data is $12. Unlimited would be $45 per line. Since my family uses 6 to 8 gig per month, my fees would be about $72 to $96 per month. Right now I'm paying $140/160 for 4 lines + 1 free line I'm not using on T-Mo. What comes with T-Mo however is free Gogo data and onboard texting, also decent and free data roaming in most countries I travel to. Since my family and I travel a lot, this is good. If I go Comcast, the roaming fee is ridiculous. So I would have to get a local sim or carry another phone since no dual sim phones work with Verizon. (And also I would have to buy all new phones regardless!) Tough choices...

£10 on giffgaff (no contract) for 3GB data, 500 minutes (free incoming) and Unlimited text. It's also free to call anyone with the same carrier.
All my friends have giffgaff so I never worry about minutes. Big plus is super cheap international calling.

TMobile One here as well.. but I got like 7 phone lines and 4 mobile internet lines. I have no ideal what I pay though. To much equipment and other people paying parts.
 
T-Mobile One + International. 1 line. 95/Mo Unlimited with 50GB/Mo priority Data+Tethering. I use it for my all of my internet as it's faster than any other option out here in the country.
 
AT&T with 3 lines and company discount (from a company I haven't worked for since like 2015). ~$50 line for 16GB data and unlimited everything else.
 
I feel cheated every time I have to pay my phone bill. As a European who recently moved to the states I can honestly say that I feel like I'm getting a lot less for my money when it comes to phone carriers/internet in the US.
With my European carrier I paid $15 for free text/mms 10 hours of call time, 15 gb data. I would probably have to pay 4 times that amount to have something similar here in the US. Currently trying "Ting" which seems like the cheapest option if you have access to Wi-Fi most of the day.

You don't say... As a Finn I read this thread and it's a ripoff after ripoff deals. I don't get it how they can keep ripping off their customers so badly.
 
There are a lot more cell towers needed here - more land mass to cover and lower population density. Those costs are spread across all subscribers. There may be other contributing factors, of course, including the 'g' word.

Finland is rather large country (for 5,5 million people) so it shouldn't be cheap to keep the coverage pretty much nation wide. Yet three major operators have their own networks and the competitions is pretty fierce and the prices affordable. I'd think that the sheer volume of customers would keep the prices low there but apparently not... Maybe they have some kind of cartel going on there.

to be honest it's only gotten better recently with major competition front TMobile. But now I feel prices are slowly creping back up for the major 3. But if you look hard enough alot of solid mvno out there.
 
T-Mobile $120 + taxes for 4 lines or $30/line.. Unlimited everything until 2019, then 10GB.

Wanted to jump on current promotion, but its not a good deal for a current customers and too much confusion, so I’ll wait for something better.
 
Well, it's not cheap but T-Mobile.de, €199 a month, unlimited everything, EU/Switzerland/US/Canada roaming, 1 phone sim plus 2 multisim for additional devices, device upgrade every 12 months.
