Nvidia Titan V

Ah, saw that one but I saw the one under it that said zpool, thought you were referring to that.

hmm ask on bitcointalk, cause I just loaded it up and its running fine for me, I'm pretty sure it could be one of the miners that is lower than CUDA 7 that is crashing.

Ah ya I thought maybe I had the wrong GPU selected, it may be one of the miners selected causing it to crash. Thanks for helping me get my foot in the door.

np man, I'm also on Bitcoin talk, same username, so I'll help ya more once you get up and going.

Hah, failure to follow instructions. ;) The stock .bat is setup for two GPU's (0,1), changed it to (0,0) and working now!

So whatever I mine now goes straight to coinbase since that is the address I used and is my "wallet"?

ah cool yeah once ya hit the payout amount, which is .05 I think? take a screen of the benchmark amounts and post it up, would be nice to see how profitable Volta is :)

ah .01 per day payout or if its less than than .0025 per a few days, not sure how much time.

Does benchmarking take a while? It's been going for like 5 minutes now. Saying stuff like xxxxx does not validate on CPU! Also, screen flickers on the desktop etc, this normal?

yeah it takes 4 mins per algorithm, think there are 17, so about 1 hour or so

oh cool. GPU usage is 100%, but power draw is small ~75% with Titan V only running at 1515 MHz. Wonder why that is. Normal core for games is ~1900 MHz. Wonder if it is because it is using the tensor cores?

you can undervolt and power limit and then overclock the card more if you want just for mining, mining won't use all parts of the GPU so your TDP numbers should be much lower, mine 1070's use only around 80 watts when mining, my 1080ti 130 watts max.

I'm trying to figure out why my core clock is so low mining compared to games. Didn't touch my MSI Afterburner overclock settings.

How often are these benchmarks done? Just the first time?

No, kept at my default overclock settings I use for games. That's why I'm curious why my core clock is 400 MHz lower mining.

hmm I don't have Volta to help ya lol, all I can say is maybe pull up your voltage curve and see if you can change the frequencies based on the voltage its at? Essentially undervolting for the same frequencies.

Ya this is weird. It's like mining has a different GPU boost curve?

it shouldn't, just keep your eye on it, maybe the miner is limited somewhere else so the frequencies are pushed much. Right now what did ya get for X17? I'm getting a 10 bucks a day on it for a 1080ti

I just checked on my 1080ti, yeah some of the coins just won't push the core up in frequency. I'm maxing out at 1680 on x17, 1630 on Skein.

It hasn't done that one yet, at the bottom of the list. So far the highest I see is bitcore at $8.8 / day.

X17.jpg

These mining programs seem to be very finicky. Had to delete many algorithms to keep the miner going. Above is X17 error.

not bad, my bitcore is at 5.5, so yeah 75% higher just like it should be!

Neoscrypt for me right now, is at 5.6, so your almost double!

Your coins are showing anywhere from 50% to 100% over my 1080ti, not bad!

Yeah some of the miners just won't run with Volta just yet, have to wait for a recompile for them to cuda 7.0.

So this is the whittled down list of algorithms that work. I don't think that Skein figure can be accurate eh?

they are accurate, just that you don't get that all the time, as you can see the figures are going to shift alot every time it refreshes, so the average is probably going to be around 15 to 20 bucks a day.

I'm surprised that some of your cuda9 coins, well all of them aren't working lol, post that up on Bitcointalk, some of those are extremely profitable, even more than Skein at times!

So these currencies fluctuate this much and this quickly?

oh yeah cause they are like penny stocks, but over all the you can mine a ton of them fast, so mining value is high.

Ya basically this V mining would take care of my grocery bill as a single person (~$6K/year). I guess that's not bad considering when I am not gaming it's just sitting there idle. But that isn't taking in consideration hardware wear and tear I guess. But I doubt I'll have the V more than a year anyway since I always get the fastest GPU. And these V's are built like tanks so this probably doesn't even make it flinch.

How often does zpool send the currency to coinbase? I'm sure some minimum trigger has to be hit.

I would undervolt just for the longevity of the card, yeah more voltage you will still have no problems with it, but what the hell, less heat into your room lol. Out of the 432 cards I got only one went bad after 8 months and that card was finicky to begin with, it was always crashing but I kept it around till it died cause it matched up real well with the other cards in that specific rig.

Zpool has a cash out limit of .01 btc per day or .0025 btc which they few times a week (I don't know the exact time of payouts, cause I have multi pool mining with a butt load of rigs I always get paid out every day doesn't matter where I'm mining), so if you are able to hit .01 per day, only one card ya won't do that, but the .0025 btc ever few days, should be able to do that. Lets say once a week to be on the safe side

432 cards?!

I haven't found a way to undervolt the Titan V yet. I don't think anyone has.

yeah got a lot of rigs lol,

Ah ok, well once afterburner or one of those guys gets around to it, ya should be able to.

How do u keep that many gpu's cool ???? U must have the spread out over multi locations!! Wow that is al ot of heat

I have 50 rigs in my basement, which it used to stay around 60 F year round its up to 90 now (winter time), summer time I have heat vented out, 4 windows with large fans pushing the heat out. The other rigs 23 of them spread over my guest bedrooms (5 in each), and rest in my great room/bar area)

Whats your power bill like?

Just got my two Titan Xp's up and running. Ordered a 360mm rad and 2 full-cover EK water blocks for them. Can't control the heat of these reference cards without insane noise. Right now I am averaging .002 bitcoins a day (2 Titan Xp's and 1 1080 Ti). Have a second 1080 Ti on the way.

3.5k a month.

no problem with the temps of the card, the EVGA's stay at 50C, my Zotac and pny's stay around 70C., that's where undervolting really helps out, yeah a bit less on the power draw too, but when it comes to temps, they really drop, all cards are at 850 mV's for the most part and the highest they go are 925 mV's. Fan speed, I'm able to keep them at stock. The only cards that I have that are reference are the PNY's.

The Zotac have the best memory clocks then the PNY then the EVGA's, but PNY and EVGA's are very close like 50mhz difference. Zotac's memory clocks are 150 more than the PNY's.

I'm getting .15 to .2 bitcoins per day. If I was using straight now single pool mining, that would be around .15 only. When BTC was above 15k, I was getting more than that, up to .25 BTC's per day.

Nope it can be mined on a GPU, it uses, ccminer and the alexis version is the fastest version for mining on a GPU for it.

Just under the first topic it talks about ccminer and gpu mining.
Okay cool, just need to know what software to use, then. Thanks.

Wow, that is some serious power. But I guess a $3.5K/month power bill isn't that bad considering your profits cover that in ~2 days. You have like $200K just in video cards? That is so crazy lol. Did you have to get a more powerful electric circuit installed to your house?
