recommended pump speed arctic cooling LF 240

so i just recently bought the arctic cooling liquid freezer 240 and friggin love it but the pumps the loudest thing about it.. i've been trying to figure out what the recommended pump speed should be on it(currently 5400-5500rpm) but can't seem to find anything on recommended pump speeds. was hoping maybe others that might have this cooler have found a lower setting that works or if i should just leave it at default.

fyi this is my first AIO cooler i've used so i'd rather ask a simple question like this then screw up and kill it and have to wait a week for a new one.

Fire up a stress test, let your temperatures stabilize under load, and start backing the pump speed down until your temps are getting higher than you want them. *shrug*

yeah that's what i was thinking of doing but never messed with these AIO's so wasn't really sure how sensitive the pumps were to rpm changes.

Should be fine. I'm assuming you're using some AF software that lets you control the pump speed? (I'm not familiar with AF's AIO coolers.)
 
well depends on what pump...something like the aio's corsair pump spin like 5000rpm etc
...yeah but what are you talking about? OP was asking what the minimum speed was they could safely run it, and they gave us the max speed of their pump.

it's all good, a lot of his posts don't make much sense, lol.. i tried changing the rpm but it wouldn't budge from 5400rpm.. trying to change it lower would just cause the rpm reading to fluctuate between 5300-5450 so i just put it back to full speed and decided to spend time overclocking my processor to 3.9Ghz.. need to spend more time finding the lowest stable voltage(at 1.37v right now) but that'll have to wait til sunday night.
 
I have this cooler and i dont' hear the pump at all even when its 4500+rpm. You might have some air in your rad that you could shake out:


 
Also i don't know about lowest possible rpm , but mine is on pwm and when i run cpu at stock speeds, pump is only running at 3400rpm. This didn't seem to affect temps much since it stays around 42c under full load with fans at 1080rpm (stock speed R7 1700)
