For those of you still waiting for Half Life 3, here is something to tide you over; Hunt Down the Freeman.

Check out the video.

It's time to tell the story of the villain. Hunt Down The Freeman takes you into a journey like no one has before. Witness the pain of the villain firsthand with over 14 hour gameplay, over 40 levels, immersive gameplay, cinematic cutscenes and an over an hour long, heart touching OST.

Neat? The premise is kind of fun sounding, but seems like a rehash of Blue Shift or Opposing Force.
Developed and published by some random group I’ve never heard of and has no other products on steam.

Makes me think of Black Mesa I guess.

Pretty interesting for a group to make a full fledged original game set in the Half-Life universe.

Unfortunately, judging from that trailer, it doesn't seem like the developers actually know the universe/story they're setting their game in. We'll have to see how it turns out.

Brilliant idea or blatant money grab? Time will tell. (Random note: The voice actor they got for the G Man is pretty spot on but completely omitted the odd cadence speech style of the G Man from the series.)

I'm a fan of basically all HL2 mods and custom campaigns. There's no gameplay presented in the video so it's too early to judge. Also, there is no price listed on the steam store. It's possible it will be released for free.

Did anybody notice the 60gb install?

I think that 60gb install could be put to better use.

G Man sounded weak and bland.
I'd like to see what gameplay looks like, but I really like me some Half-Life so I'll stay tuned.

Hunt Down The Freeman is a Fan-Made creation of Royal Rudius Entertainment. Not created by Valve.

I liked this idea better when it was called Opposing Force, and was an actual official expansion for the game. I'd love to see Opp For get the Black Mesa treatment. But this looks mediocre.
