I upgraded back in 2012 to an FX-8350. I currently have 16gb of ram, an nvidia GTX 970 and a nice Samsung SSD.
My system is used primarily for World of Warcraft, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere. I do quite a bit of multitasking.
I’m looking at Ryzen 5 1600X and the cost for the CPU, mobo, and ram (fuck you DDR4 pricing) is $617 out the door. This also includes an AM4 bracket for my current CPU cooler.
Will the cost justify the performance in your opinion? I looked at the 1700X, but I’m mitigating ram prices by considering the 1600X.
Thoughts?
