1080ti on Freesync monitor

My biggest problem with UW was that I felt I always did not know everything going on the screen which made my OCD run rampant and also made me cross eyed trying to look at the corners. Second issue was, the low refresh of course. Finally, lack of support and the black bars in many games that I played without going for a hack fix that either messed up vertical or horizontal viewing (all those WSG forum fixes lol) just didn't do it for me.

Anyways, back to this thread. It would be nice for the OP to actually respond.

What is UW? I'm not nerdy enough to know all these internet acronyms.

You must be joking lmao.
UW = Ultra wide. I'm sure you remember seeing multiple deals on the 34" Dell in the past couple years? And then seeing iterations with GSync/Freesync from Acer/Asus.

I'm about to pull the trigger for a 1080ti, any suggestions which monitor with gsync I should get along with it? Want IPS, 27 inch and 144hz... Doesn't matter if it is 1080p or 1440p, I'm using DSR anyways.

Got my PG348Q a week ago. Was using DSR on a old FHD 23" monitor before. 3440x1440, IPS, curved and g-sync I am blown into space. I run games on ultra at 100 FPS, dropping to 70 at times in most demanding games is totally smooth and in mostr cases not noticable. 35% more view and desktop real estate is amazing. Highly recommended for GTX 1080 Ti.

1000% yes I own two Gsync Acers. Never again will I go without a synchronized display.

Same here, adaptive sync is something I will not pass on going forward. Looking forward to the 4k 144hz displays
