Silicon Valley’s Next Big Idea: Untreated Drinking Water

I think I'm going to start collecting rain water in my yard. Maybe I'll piss in it from time to time. Then I'll sell my all natural piss...I mean vitamin water it to rich, trendy hipsters.

I come from rural Pennsylvania where "raw milk" is a big thing, and I thought that was dumb. This is an entirely new level of idiocy.

We do raw milk here in the south as well.

Did you know that pasteurized milk is way, way, way harder to digest than raw milk?

Raw milk is also way, way, way better for you than pasteurized milk.

Untreated spring water... I would drink that straight from the spring, but not after being bottled up and sitting for who knows how long. I also won't pay a stupid price for spring water.

Now they are talking free health care for illegals and Pot will be legal as of tomorrow. We already have the already largest homeless population in the country and it will likely double in the next few years.

Sounds like California is wanting to be Mexico. I have no problem with only having 49 states.

Great idea! Make sure you get some of that yummy old tire water too, instead of "Fat Tire", its "Old Tire".

The best tasting water I have ever drank was from an untreated well in California.

Of course it was a deep well above 7,000 feet in the High Sierra...

Good well or spring water is fine, packaged and shipped and growing shit, not so much.

$5 a gallon seems high.

You were probably just thirsty after climbing all that way.

It's like bubble tea. Without the flavor. O, and substitute Giardia cysts for the tapioca.

And you thought those worms they took out of that NK soldier were bad...

I'm starting up a bottling business in Mexico called Agua-Veritas. Straight from Montezuma's ass to rich people's mouths for only $12.99 per pint.

Best bottled water out here in California is Arrowhead Spring Water.
5 gallons (2.5g x 2) at Costco runs less than $5.
I'm sure it tastes better and is safer than that trendy stuff they are selling for 5x as much.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. The only thing that makes sense is if you think you'll gain an immunity to these parasites in case there's an apocalypse and you can't boil water any more. But even that's fucking retarded.

Raw everything is a hipster/hobo way of life. Raw water, raw foods, raw cloth, raw toiletries, raw dogging. Such intelligence. Much wow.

Nothing wrong with raw water, but know your source. I have lived in houses with raw water and it tested pure. It was fine. My cottage well is raw water but it is high in iron and hydrogen sulfide. You can't drink it. Untreated doesn't mean untested, though. The best quality spring waters in Canada are treated with ozone. It kills all the bugs and leaves the water taste alone.

LMAO I remember this game and the trucking across canada one from grade school.....
but seriously folks, poisoned kool aid is good for one's soul, so why can untreated unfiltered water not be amazing for one's longevity?
(they must want to kill off competition and this is the only way they could concoct or something like that) ?

Lets get rid of Callie and then we can adopt PR and bless them with taxes lol, that way we don't have to wast money remaking the flag lol

We've done such a good job eliminating waterborne pathogens that people forget that they used to be an awful thing. Do we really need a reminder of how valuable sanitation practices are? This is just like the morons that don't get their kids vaccinated and are then shocked that measles and mumps are awful diseases.

Wait what?! (From Pittsburgh) and ick! Never heard this one.

Yeah, it was fairly common where I lived, but you'd always see people getting sick. While I understand the concept it's not a risk I would ever take. Seems like a bit of a marketing scam plus a way for people who hate regulation to support something (the practice was common among the Amish), but this water scheme is even worse.

So some very tiny population of hipsters are drinking well water that is untreated (or whatever) and all of a sudden we have a "growing trend".
No use talking reason. It's alt/far right raw meat. A guy goes to burning man, decides untreated water cleansed him And all of silicon valley is now following since he is the pied piper. Or it was a click bait article for krenum and his crew (And I know you're not a lefty).

Kidney stones will sober them up quick.

Those fuckers hurt like hell when they travel down your magic pipe snake and go 'tink' 'tink' in the toilet bowl.

hey, Juicero's old customers want to drink shit water.

It's better than koolaid.

Who didn't see Juicero going bankrupt from 100 miles away?

The new obscure health trend among the rich is drinking “raw” water, which is water that hasn’t been filtered or treated in any way.

Good. Fuck 'em. If you are intentionally too uninformed regarding the drinking of untreated water then you deserve a nice bout of ecoli or Montezuma's revenge.

Just wait until the first cholera outbreak in this century.

I don't trust American bovine milk, period.
That very same FDA allows the use of rBST.

Drink Canadian milk (the stuff your government doesn't like because of NAFTA). There is no rBST allowed in our milk.

Well this plays nicely into the EPA's hands. I'm sure this'll make great PR for the ongoing battle to lower the drinking water standards.

Unfiltered and untreated spring and well water has been safe to drink for the milleniums humans have existed. The ground water is naturally filtered.

You only need to worry about lakes, rivers etc. Not so far back in the past well water was the only source of fresh water for billions of people. Actually continues to be even today.
