Promo code is MYSTERY17

http://www.corsair.com/en-us?utm_co...gn=Up to 50% OFF - Use Mystery Promotion Code

Just received an email direct from Corsair stating "up to 50% off"

I added a K95 Platinum Gunmetal and a K55 with Harpoon combo. The discount only took off about $26 (roughly 10%)

if you discover which items are actually 50% off please post your finds here.

The code only works on items accessed by that "shop online" link in the photo above. They tried to allude to that in the "Terms and Conditions" section of the ad.

Even with that link, wiping all browsing history and cookies etc, it still doesn't work for me. Tried on two different browsers. Somebody please explain to me how to internet. Thanks.

What? Huh? Are you expecting some hey, here is the promo? It's not happening, its just a code w/o a clue. It's on you to click around their site and find what gets discounted. This is why its annoying.

I mean, I get that... but I tried 4 different items and it just shows "invalid product code" in big red letters for each item.

EDIT: Found one that works. 10% off the $2900 PC... lol no.

I swear, even since I bought that Corsair DDR4 with the red LED's and it would only stay static on one slot while the other would blink no matter the setting and it took about 7 releases of the Corsair Link software before it was fixed, I've hated that damn company.

Read that as if I said it all in one breath.

It says additional savings applied at checkout (which generally means after adding items to your cart and clicking "checkout", but may or may not mean before confirming your order). I think the 10% is a given for any item the code applies to, and then you may qualify for more, depending on the item.

That link just goes to the New Products page.

This is a pretty fucking terrible promotion. I’m looking for a mechanic keyboard. Screwing around with the coupon code and having it keep coming up 10% off is just pissing me off (and sending me to go look at Logitech’s site instead).

The 1080 Ti Hydro didn't work with the code, at least for me. The AX1500i worked with that code, both the refurb and the new. $35 off for the refurb, $45 for the new. Not great, but not terrible since it stacked with both. My guess is that you can get up to $250 off total, with each item being about 10% off.

And if you look at the URL itself it appears to have 20% to 50% off... Anyone found the 50% off item?

The vast majority of the "New Products" are what the coupon applies to (I received the email, too, and clicking on the "Shop Online" link in the email brought me to that page -- I tried out the coupon on a couple of items [RAM, chairs, headsets, keyboards] and the coupon worked fine).

Apart from that, there is no "dedicated coupon/sale section" for this promotion.

The time to get mechanical keyboard deals was all of November and most of December (Slickdeals, amongst others, had some decent grabs).

Not going to argue about the "terrible promotion" part, though; this was poorly managed, with inaccurate links -- apparently Corsair wants the consumer to "hunt down" the "mystery items" on sale.

Not surprised that the 1080 Ti Hydro didn't work, though -- that's cutting into very valuable profit margins for Corsair ;)
