any 32" 4k high-refresh monitors in the forseeable future?

I have a Dell UP3216Q, which is fantastic for working, but I would really like to play games at a higher refresh than 60hz.

It seems like all the gaming monitors are 27" though, and 4k at 27" is just too tiny to use 100% DPI scaling, thus defeating the purpose... so are there any upcoming monitors that will fill the 32" 4k gaming niche, or is this just a dream?

this could be out either in january or sometime else in Q1 2017. its 4K, 34 inches. 200hz. gsync. curved.

Hey Zinn,

Do you use scaling with your Dell and if so how well does it work with Adobe Creative Suite (if you are using it) or some of Autodesk software + Office 365.
 
I use 100% DPI scaling (no scaling) to keep the UI small. In some apps, like Windows explorer, it's fine and totally legible. In some apps, like Photoshop CC, it's not fine (just way too small). Fortunately Adobe has an option to increase the UI text size and it makes it much easier to read the fonts. Browsers, word documents and spreadsheets can be manually set to 125% or 150% zoom, and I use that to effectively "DPI scale" the important parts of the apps I use while leaving the window toolbars, icons, etc. at a smaller and more space-efficient setting.

The UP3216Q is just at the very razor's edge of "comfortable to use without DPI scaling," which is why I wouldn't want a smaller 4K display. At 27", some things would go from just legible to not legible, and you'd end up needing to zoom the entire UI in.

If you have a Fry's or Microcenter nearby, definitely check out some 4k monitors in action and see if you like it - your tolerance and comfort level could be different than mine. Personally I'm really happy with 4k at 32" and it's a game changer for productivity for me.

I am not in the US (I live in Greece) but hopefully there is a Dell Store in a nearby mall so I can visit and check it out in person.

I have been waiting for a larger professional 4K monitor for the last 2 years but still......i.e. 40" would be ideal but most of them are not geared towards pro use (i.e. Adobe RGB or even DCI-P3)

Regarding high-refresh I have not seen anything (yet) that is big 32+ and 3840X2160 - mostly ultrawides.
