Oculus rift $299 @ Newegg ($399-$100 GC), 1 day only

Its getting cheaper for sure but I am just not sold on the amount space needed for it to be effective.

I play in a 10ftx7ft space and its great. Would I love more room? Sure but do I feel its to small? Nope, I think as long as you can muscle an area of roughly 5x5 you can enjoy everything easily. Even then tons of games work as long as you have room to just full extend your arms in a 180* angle infront of you.
 
Unreal has much this has dropped in price. I've got about $700 invested in mine and don't regret it for a second. $299 is a steal!
 
Yeah you can basicly play this thing standing I front of your desk if needed! As long as you have room to extend your arms 360 around you it's game on.

Jump! You won't regret it i assure you of that.
