Recommendation on WiFi access point that supports multiple VLANs

I am trying to look for a WiFi access point that supports multiple VLANs. I am interested in dual-band access point. Can you give me some recommendations?

Umm, pretty much any AP these days support VLAN tagging. Ubiquity, Engenius, meraki, Cisco, take your pick

Most of them are ceiling mount. Is there any good desktop access point that supports multiple VLANs?
 
All of those APs can happily sit on a desk. You dont have to use the ceiling mount brackets.

I have my Meraki MR33 sitting on my tv stand in my living room (and a Unifi UAP-AC-LITE prior to that).
 
Heard good things about Ubiquiti and I am currently using Edge Router X so I bought UAP-AC-LITE.

It would be connected from my Cisco SG200-08 smart switch to this access point.
 
Got my UAP-AC-LITE yesterday and hooked it up. I mounted it on the wall. I have a very high ceiling and my ladder can't reach it so I just mount it as high as possible on my wall.

Congrats.. I don't think I will ever go back to consumer grade wifi routers :) Unfi for life now. I have some APs at work with 200+ days of uptime and no issues.

So far so good. I kind of wish I have the Unifi Security Gateway so that I can manage everything on one interface. Instead I have an edge router X. I have nothing to complain about this router. It does its job perfectly. I setup my VLANs, setup my firewall rules to ensure no cross talk between VLANs and I have been running it without reboot for months unless I have to upgrade firmware.

The investment is really not a whole lot when comparing with buying with a high end router.

Edge Router X is $40 when it was on sales
Netgear 8 ports smart switch is like $17 after rebate
Used Cisco 8 ports smart switch is also like $17 on EBay
Unifi access point is $69.99

And couple of ethernet cables here and there. It's still cheaper than a high end router. I didn't include the cost of my modem but I have that since day one.

And this is what the masses don't get. Wind tunnel stealth testing and moar antennas isn't going to fix the fundamental problems.

It shocks me at the sticker prices on these when I go to best buy, etc. In my head I'm always like, 'but for that much you can get...' (y)
