This is a great solution for essentially a wireless HDMI link to a display. This connects to the display's HDMI port.

Used ones are updated to latest firmware. All are perfectly functional. I'll update to post more as I pull them down in the office and check how many new ones I bought.

Got a bunch of these for hooking up to TVs in my office for wireless projection, but trying to keep network and display drivers up to date across everyone in the office for these was a mess with our organization IT policy and our motley clutch of laptop makes. My loss, your gain.

Will consider trades towards a in-warranty LG V20 for T-Mobile (Model H918), a T-Mobile LG G6, or 32GB+ iPhone 6s (Trade + cash).

If your PC supports miracast (which it should if it runs Windows 8 or higher) then yes, this is exactly what it does. Miracast does not rely on a network connection, it's a direct wireless link from PC to display so you can use it anywhere. A number of android devices also support this, but it appears to have been taken out in Android N.
