CD Projekt Red still isn't planning to make a Witcher 4, but that doesn't mean it won't make games set in the same universe: CEO Adam Kiciński explained that while the company sees Geralt's Witcher trilogy as definitively finished, the company still owns the IP.

Kiciński says the company will "probably" return to the world of The Witcher, because both fans and investors would be disappointed if it didn't. That presumably means games set around different characters, or in different time periods, although Kiciński didn't go into any more detail.

As long as the story, script, music, world(s}, plot, characters, creatures, and funny side quests are kind of like the Witcher III. Not exactly like Witcher III, just have it be funny with amazing writing and story. The graphics are important even though that should not over shadow the amazing Witcher world building. Would really like to see the Witcher series expand past the main world for others. Or maybe the other side of the world. I still have not read the book series of the Witcher. I am just hoping I like the world of Cyberpunk. I have not read up on Cyberpunk either. Sometimes the games are better than the books.

I hope they do this sooner rather than later. I need more of that world in my life.

I agree with them, they shouldn't try to tack anything on to Geralts story. Maybe, MAAAAYBE, they could do a prequel kind of game, but definitely not try to extend the story.

Stick to the universe, they have a rather large one to draw from and explore.

TW3 was easily the best game I've played since Alien: Isolation.

Despite the fact that I got the shittiest possible ending on my first playthrough. Uninstalled that shit in a huff. 70 some hours to get us both killed?

lame. as. fuck.

please no prequals... maybe play as one of geralts' children or another already established popular character

Uhhh...Witchers cannot have children. Maybe adopt like he did with Ciri. Sorcerers and Witchers are sterile.

One of the best game series made. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with next

Indeed. It would be interesting to play as Ciri or another Witcher in the school. Geralt could take Vesamir's place as the Patriarch of the school.

I own all of the Witcher games and haven't really played them. Maybe 5-6 years ago, I tried to play Witcher 1 on my old computer. I had some Radeon GPU that struggled with the game. I have a 970 now - so that should be fine with 1 & 2, probably 3 I'd think.
I might try to play the first one when I have some downtime in the holidays.

Maybe a Witcher-verse game but with a "roll your own character" option. I've always wondered about the other (non-Wolf) Witcher schools.

A man can dream. Absolutely my favorite franchise in 30 years of gaming. My first game that I had to cut myself off from just to play other things. I still want Cyberpunk too, but both should be able to exist. This makes me happy!

If it doesn't star Geralt, it will be their first fail for me.

Geralt IS The Witcher

Still don't know why they didn't ever make a game starring a 'build your own witcher' type deal. I mean, they have all the background in place - yes Geralt is the big damn hero, but, there's no reason why un unnamed witcher couldn't exist in the same universe doing less world changing things.

I'm probably one of the few, but I enjoyed the hell out of the games and still hated Geralt.

I'd be down for new characters, same world.

Have Geralt be a prominent NPC. I'd be ready to explore the world of Witcher with someone else than Geralt. Maybe as Lambert? I always loved the tongue in the cheek cynicism of Geralt but Lambert takes that to the nth degree. Actually he is just a bitter cynic instead of tongue in the cheek like Geralt but still cynic none the less and I love it. It has been implied that Lambert and Eskel visit Geralt VERY often (probably something to do with his new wine yard...) so there is a canonical reason why Geralt could be a prominent NPC instread of just being a fan service.

yeah, that would be great. to me its the game world that makes it great.

Game is beautiful but I could not finish it. I got bored ~30% through the game

Books made me love Geralt. Glad I read them.

I do agree, new character in the same world.

There is a ton of lore related to other Witchers including the other schools. While Geralt is a really cool character, there's a ton of room to have additional games set in that world without him. At least without him as the primary focus.
It'll be interesting to see how Cyberpunk turns out. CPR has only made Witcher games so far, right?
