Newegg eBay: $465.99 Vega 64

First time seeing this lower than MRSP price. Great find.

I missed the GIgabyte deal as well so I'm hopping on this one.

EDIT: Ended up buying two. Probably going to end up buying two more depending on how long this last.

Vegas not so good at mining

2000H/s Cryptonight....$5/day profit via NiceHash or $3.52 Monero

1080ti hits $2.60 in Zen as best option

I stopped buying Nvidia for a reason now, they are terrible at mining and drivers are a huge headache not to mention weak ROI

Looking through Newegg's listings, they also have the Gigabyte water cooled version for $624.99:

EDIT: I ended up buying two of these as well. Going to end up having one machine with two Powercolor cards with Alphacool Eisenwolf 120mm coolers and another machine two Gigabyte water cooled cards. It'll be interesting to see how they compare.

I'd be a little more interested if it didn't say "Seller does not offer returns"

It's Newegg.com's eBay store.

"Newegg understands that not every purchase is a good fit for every customer. That’s why we make the return process as simple as possible using the eBay interface. Combining the best of both worlds, you will receive the award-winning Newegg customer service that millions of consumers know and enjoy while using a familiar and convenient interface."

That print just below the listing is obviously incorrect.

It's there though, and gives them an out if they want to fight a return.
I've been fighting asus, a company I've used, loved, and never had a problem with, for over a year to fix a monitor they knew shipped with a problem.
I got the monitor from newegg who would also, do nothing about it... or they wanted a huge restocking fee. So they were gonna restock and sell something they knew had a problem?
Considering newegg is in the middle of being sued, I just don't feel up to trusting them right now lol.

I had a doa GTX 1080 I bought from Newegg on eBay and the return process was pretty easy. In fact my Newegg eBay dealings have gone through smoother than directly with Newegg as of late. When I bought my 1950X and X399 Mobo the box was delivered to the wrong address and Newegg outright banned my account while they tried to figure that shit out. It wasn't until a month ago that my premier account was finally unbanned.

I would jump on Vega but I need DVI-DL due to my monitor. Current reference based cards dropped this port..

Ah man, 8% ebay Cash to further tempt me. lol. If it was not a blower cooler I'd have bought it already.

Yeup! My buddy bought a couple too.

Electricity is dirt cheap(0.05c/KWH here), and yes after electricity, profit has come down a bit now with BTC dropping but Monero did go up as well and Electroneum is going stupid crazy
well, i happen to NOT have to pay for electricity where my equipment is... :)
But i am interested in this Electroneum. tell me more!!

1080TI can mine for Cryptotonight too. You just gotta use Nichhash 1.8.

Also - that one day surge in cryptotonight is not a realistic depiction of Vega vs. 1080TI. or 1070.

The Vega typically mines eth, and my experiences were that it crashes often with the other algorithms if you try to let it mine everything.
The NVidia's rarely ever crash. They draw less power, and in general they make more money than the AMD card of equivalent price. The exception being the RX480/580 vs. the 1060. (RX480/580 is a far better value for mining)

I've mined with RX470, RX580, and Vega, Fury X, and 1080ti and 1060.

The best so far for me as ROI has been RX580. (I run about 30 cards total mining)
$280 per card for the RX580, and they make $2 a day consistently with NH, and can be run with reasonable power use - 150 watt or less.
1060's make $1.10 a day consistently and use 80 watts
1080TI's make $3 a day consistently and use 165 watts (but cost $700!!! to buy)
Vega's make a fair bit less than 1080TI, maybe $2.25 typically - but used closer to 200 watts each. I never got my Vegas above about 37MH/s Eth. But dual mining on the 1080Ti was more profitable.

1070's are probably the best. They'd make low $2's a day and use 80 - 100 watts of power and only cost $400 (unfortunately I don't have any because when I bought my primarily bought my rigs the 1070's were overpriced on MSRP.

The 1080TI's have been my most reliable card, and most profitable day to day earnings, but they cost the most to get into as well. (and have the slowest ROI).
