It's 2017, what fan control software are we using?

Running off the Air/Water delta means the system no longer spikes and can even do 0 rpm without worry....
The temperature resolution is also amazing - all in all it's a worthy purchase.

I got a little confused with all the optional modules that the Aquero may or may not need depending on your implementation. That, and the fact that their website was in German only. I speak German, but I am very rusty, ad I just didn't figure it all out, and eventually decided to do something else. (Well, the price drove me away as well). How did you figure out which parts and pieces you needed?

Anyone ever seen a single channel PWM to DC controller, or DIY plans for one? I've got some DC-only stuff I want to control from my PWM-only motherboard in a case with absolutely no room for a traditional fan controller.

Sunbeams rheosmart fan controllers support this. There is a three fan version in a 3.5" external format and a 6 fan version in a 5.25" format.

Essentially, its a rheostat based controller with dials on the front, but you clicl a button and it switches to auto-mode, in which it voltage controls attached 3 pin fans based on the motherboard PWM signal.

I've had a couple, they are pretty good.

Thanks good sir. I might look at the 3.5" version, but it's gonna be a tight fit if I can cram it in there at all.

Edit: unfortunately, it seems to be unbuyable. Additionally, it controls all connected devices according to a single PWM signal; I need to be able to control the pump and fan independently.

Is there any such critter as a single-channel PWM to DC controller?
 
Speedfan really is a great option... It's pretty solid and it's free!!
- However I couldn't ever get mine to reliably apply changes

Honestly.... initially with great difficulty... I get what you mean though. The forums are only so so.. there are so many parts and cables etc..

I was going to give up but I e-mailed their customer service and through about 5 emails figured out the components I needed. Their CS is great. I had some pretty basic questions that they handled well.
 
I tried Argus Monitor after reading this thread and I love it. I couldn't get anything else to work reliably on my Maximus IX Hero with a couple of Phanteks PWM fan hubs in there.

I've been using SpeedFan for many years now and I know very well how to properly configure it but the problem I'm having with it right now is that it has not been updated to support more recent motherboard and CPU sensors. Heck, the core temperature readings its getting from my i5 8400 are all out of whack.

I'm doing the 30-day trial with Argus Monitor and so far, so good. It has pretty much the same functionality as SpeedFan and is easier to use as well. Built in GPU fan speed software control is a big plus too so I don't have to keep Afterburner running in the background for my GPU's custom fan curve. The only issue I'm having is that I can't seem to reliably shut off the GPU fans with Argus when the temperature is below the threshold. The GPU fans keep on switching on and off.

I have seen that running some monitoring programs at the same time could cause weirdness - I've uninstalled ASUS AI Suite, for example.

I'm using Argus now also, and I don't use it to control the GPU, I've left this to Precision X (Afterburner is an equivalent).

I might try Argus. I've always liked SpeedFan, but I've got a little Biostar/Ryzen machine on backup duty and SpeedFan doesn't see any of it.
