Been seeing an uptick in cheating the last two weeks. Hopefully they ban another batch soon.
 
Game still has the same issues with the core game play. I literally spend more time running than killing. Half the time I'm dying in the top 20 without ever having seen another player. Same old shit. Even dropping in more "hot" areas. It really feels like an old school MMORPG like Everquest. I remember spending hours running across zones to go from Freeport to Queynos or something like that. Every round is that.

where did you hear it was coming soon? as much money as this game has made its kinda pathetic theres still bugs/server lag/1 map/low amount of weapons, i could go on and on. they could literally hire an army of people to work on this game. when triple a studios start making battle royale games its over for bluehole. and they won't care, they got the money.

You definitely must be parachuting to far off places. Like 95% of the time when I jump to a building in the center of the map, I am basically fighting a few people right off the bat.
 
Any word on when the next patch/banwave will be? Three hackers in 4 days now. Very obvious ones, spraying on full auto at 400+ meters to gun people down. Had one that killed all 4 of us in a jeep. He locked onto one person at a time and mowed us all down in order as we were driving. One person got hit, continued going down. Then the next, and the next, and then the driver. Only 1 person was hit at a time. Then he would just lock onto the next, completely blatant hacking. We still managed to pull 2nd place in 2/3 of those games too lol

A kill cam can't come soon enough.

That being said, I feel a majority of the time that I die it was legitimate. Only a few times have I questioned it and that's where I'd really like to see a kill cam so I can feel confident reporting someone.

I'm definitely not. There is often one fight at the beginning and then 10+ minutes of nothing but running. In solo games, the game goes from 99 players to less than 40 in just a few minutes during the first or two circles

I agree, I tend to start off with a long flight away from the airplane path, get geared up and then make my way to the fringes of the circle, it takes a bit to find action, but I am just not good enough yet to throw myself into the thick of things right at the start of the game. I prefer taking my time and doing my best to see people before they see me.

On the other hand, maybe I should start dropping in villages or the school, or the like? So I can get better faster?

I am in squad, so I hope a killcam is never implemented. It would be ok for solos, but it should never work its way into duo/squad. I'll have to see if my buddy ever uploaded the video of the one hacker, I think he was recording for it.

Kill cam in squad or duo would have to be delayed till all members are dead. After that the potential for anyone to benefit is probably close to zero.

Unless maybe there's 3 teams, A, B and C and somehow A dies, but knows B so decides to help them beat C with the limited information gained from their last member to die?

maybe it was lag but I see bullshit like this when I use the ak so thats why I blame it on the gun. a scar in full auto I think would have easily been a kill.

Yeah ak jumps a lot, i have to scroll my mouse down as i fire to keep rounds on target during full auto

Last match of the night highlights. Started out @ mansion - ran my butt all the way to the end. Ended up working out quite well.

 
Ugg, I seem to be stuck in the top 3 to top 10 range solo. A win still eludes me. It seems like no matter what I do, the last couple of circles I get triangulated between enemies and at least one of them ALWAYS has an angle on me.

Are people using surround headphones? I don't know if my stereo headphones are up to the task. Hard as hell to tell where shots are coming from if they are hitting close.
 
I hear direction fine with my SBZ using SBX surround with just a pair of cheap Samson SR850s.

If you want to upgrade for directional sound, the AKG 700 series is outstanding. Better than any surround headphones.

Try to be quiet and not to shoot people till very end. It is booring but you will not reveal your position. Crawl in the grass. Hide.

Sigh, so many top 3's but can't seal the deal. ALWAYS some fucker laying prone in the grass gets me. How the HELL do they target so good while lying prone in grass? Whenever I am in prone, the grass virtually completely obscures everything.

the game only uses stereo sound. so I think surround sound would be pointless.

play aggressive but smart. stay near the edge of the circle late game so you dont get shot from behind. some of the people I play with are less than decent at this game and I think its cause they are way too cautious. they wait for the enemies to make a move which takes away their element of surprise.

The benefit of this game is any style can work. I mix it up, some games I'll be aggressive and it works out. Other games I'll play very cautiously and let folks kill each other until I need to shoot. Both styles have worked and both have failed. Some rounds I'll play the edge of the circle and other games I'll play the middle of the circle, both have varied levels of success but no matter your play style, you can make it work in this game.

Do you realize grass stops rendering after 150 to 200 meters, meaning anyone that looks at your through a scope will just see you crawling around like an idiot that thinks they are hidden.

So it really only makes sense where it's a short range situation, I tend to mostly use trees, rocks, buildings and terrain for cover.

Good point. Often when I lose toward the end, it's because I was to quick to try to get back in the circle and someone came up behind me.

Another tip, if you can, go to the skinny part of the blue/white circles, less of a chance there will be someone behind you. But sometimes that's easier said than done.
 
The good thing is that I got my $30 back selling all the dumb shit I got from loot crates and the Twitch Prime stuff.
 
My loot crates haven't contained anything worth selling just yet -_-

On the other hand, I think it would make sense to take these loot crates away completely, it encourages cheating/hacking, if you can cheat and make money off of it, I bet it increases cheating 10x.
 
same about the crates. I've played the game almost every day since early access and have opened ALOT of crates. kinda bs I havn't gotten a rare item. any other game would have given at least one rare item with this many hours in. then again these devs are "special" to say the least.
