SkyDroner (WARNING Auto Play Video) is a new anti-drone system that can take over an intruding drone and then land it in an area where it can be inspected for contraband or sensitive information. The uses of this system are many and would be of great use for prisons, military bases, and even private homes. Current price is $75K but may vary according to size of the order. I'm sure as more completion enters the market prices will drop to more manageable levels if you wait a little while to jump into using this product. However, be sure to check your local laws before you deploy.

As the popularity of drones increases, so does the need for protection against unwanted aerial intrusion or careless operators. SkyDroner, made by Singapore-based security device developer TeleRadio, is a surveillance system designed to detect unwanted drones. But that's not all: Upon command, it can actually take control and land the unmanned aircraft. The system can prove useful in protecting events, ports, homes of public officials, prisons and critical infrastructure.

hmmm...change the oscilation crystal on the transmitter and receiver to a licensed spectrum that isn't used like FM. Problem solved in 3 seconds.

The Anti-Anti-Drone solution.

Better solutions:
Zap it with ultra strong microwaves (frying electronics that control it)
Zap it with a laser

That was a big DUH!

very, very neat and ... you get to keep their toy. I wonder why everyone goes after the drone instead of the person flying it?

True. I can imagine that it wouldn't be that hard to design around this device.

Modern drone autopilots (the good ones) use a wireless network and/or encryption, so you can't just fly a transmitter close to it to override the standardized RF signals. The older drones used to be like RC vehicles where a more powerful transmitter (or closer source) on the same channel could take control.

Heck, most can do mission planning. So if you're doing something that would be a target for this device (flying contraband, illegal surveillance of something, etc), you're way better off just programming the mission and setting it lose without active radios.

No homicide charge for killing a drone.

If shooting isn't an option for whatever reason, just hang a light weight net below your anti-drone drone and fly over the target.

Yeah, no idea what is under the hood so to speak in the jammer/transmitter....likely for the military/FBI grade that won't work....just listen for a second and you have the frequency.

Now I usually love to poke fun at these things...but, yeah...well I have never held a stick of dynamite but I am guessing my Inspire could carry 2, or 1 coated in finishing nails, with solar ignitors going to the landing gear channel...boom TV guided death....so, yikes. Yeah, this is a thing.

If they are claiming they can "land the drone" then they are engaging in active jamming and takeover. It's way to difficult, expensive, and dangerous to develop a wide band transmitter to jam every band. There's emergency services bands, AM, FM, VHF, UFH, CB, so on and so on which could be substituted easily.

I have no personal information, but I would imagine military grade drones also have multiple redundant systems onboard from inertial guidance, multi band, camera guidance (using star, moon, and sun position), airport VNAV (beacons), and gps on bullet hardened hardware. (protected against X-Rays, Microwaves, and Gamma burst) If the drone counter measures notes someone trying to hack it, it would likely go into "Go home to momma" mode.

You could nuke the electronics with a good directed microwave blast. But then you are crashing, not landing.

I wish they would sell anti-stupidity systems instead. Both for stupid drone operators, and for the stupid entitled idiots who think someone flying a drone 200ft AGL is somehow affecting their lives.

There are ways in both directions, like you could HEMP harden the chassis and use frequency hoping to communicate with the unit and that would not be expensive. On the other hand, to take them down, yeah, repurpose some microwave ovens and start creating some high power directed frequency gun. But honestly, if you really want to take them out, use something sticky to physically disable the unit without actually hurting it...

I have a tip to evade anti drone tech...

Obey the law

There are so many fools who do stupid shitbwith thier drones. I have a DJI Mavic and NEVER do stupod shit with mine to comprimise mine or others safety and privacy.

While I agree with you. I think these are more aimed at places like prisons borders and stadiums where some real damage can be done

I guess I am picturing a military grade countermeasure frequency snooping and transmitting suite designed to take control of civilian drones, not militarized drones. Though I am guessing all these measures/countermeasures development are needed if we are to ever evolve a decent Skynet.
