Posted by mod developer Kaze Emanuar on his YouTube account, Kaze and a few other collaborators were able to get together and create a multiplayer mod for Super Mario 64. The mod features new playable characters each with their own unique abilities similar to Super Mario Bros. 2. It also supports co-op play for up to 16 players with each collecting their own stars.

This is cool, but isn't this just like...a really shitty version of mario party. Of which there are a dozen out there.
 
Historically, they've been pretty good about SMW, sm64 mods, and smb3 randomizer. I guess as long as they keep a low profile, they won't take it down. There are over 300 sm64 mods, but only about 10-20 of them look fun. A majority are minor modifications to the original game or test levels in a box. However, the best ones have completely custom levels and 70+ stars.
