Hello members & friends of the [H]ard|OCP team

its a pleasure to share with you the reincarnation of the hard-dc.com site.
The mission of the site is to add value to our work in the various distributed computing projects and beyond what is possible in communication platforms like hardforum ....

To start with please have a look in the Hall of Frame; listing up all DC'er of the Months and Years since 2005.

More to come ... if you have any ideas, suggestions or content please share.

Last but not least: thanks to musky to make the domain available.

Enjoy & keep crunching

AV just prevented connection to the site.

Supposedly infected by URL:mal
can you send, via PM, more information if you have ? its rather a simple web site based on bootstrap from Twitter (wonder if that version cause your AV to send an alert); have no trouble on my mac and Win10.

@others : similar issues ?

It's cool that there are links to the original vote thread under the winners of each month in the Hall Of Fame. Enjoyed going back and re-living the days when the [H]orde was King of the hill and had over a thousand active members in F@H. Tons of participation on the forums back then too.

Kudos to you CV for picking up the URL and refreshing all of this!

CV, nice...

Would you be able to use this logo somewhere in the web page? This is from the T-shirt thing, if it does give the team some motivation/encouragement.

Might want to use more of the yellow fonts. Not sure of the rule of how Kyle uses this.

Lol. I too had issues with IE, looked fine on Chrome, but lots of people use IE, so you probably want to support it to make it look professional.

pututu : have a look ... better ? Not sure if I like the little logo on the top-left corner as the contrast is low ... lets give it a few days

1) some additional visual brush up done and
2) added a 10 1min refreshed copy of the RSS stream of our DC subforum

To you guys the request: outperform those 10 1 min and post more ...

Is anyone else experiencing inconsistencies between web browsers on the hard-dc website? I initially pulled it up at work this morning using IE 11, and the bottom was total screwed as if the content was all in one cell that was left justified. It shows up normally in Firefox, but the font is incredibly small in both. Here is a screen shot of what I'm seeing in both browsers.

Axdrenalin : Some helping hint from the bootstrap slack (the same I have seen in some framework I used earlier) is included now to fix IE behavior. Please try once more

Would it be possible to pull the first post of each thread and display it as a paragraph on the main page? With a link below it to the "discussion" which links to the forum post directly.

Similar to how hardocp.com's front page is.

title
first post (some sort of character limit so large posts wont look weird or take up a lot of room)
link to discussion

say top 5 or top 10 by original post date (not reply)

Need to check; I even got trouble to get rss from JavaScript due to some cross-site access protection crap in the internet. But some info is also in the RSS file I get; will have a look; thanks for the feedback

And still IE makes trouble ...

Yeah, it seems to be a bit worse this morning. The red footer appears even higher up the screen because of increased spacing between the words in that lower cell. All together it takes up about 3/4 of the entire window, and even more if I decrease the size of the browser window.

Added RSS content; reduce number of RSS items on page and converted the timestamp to local time (easier to understand)

Worked with Safari and Chrome; IE I can only test tomorrow but if MS is following standard (LOL) it should work

Quite a reminder of how long it's been since I've been a regular contributor. Constantly chasing that next certification has all my systems bogged down in VMs, so F@H and BOINC have been tough to run.
