I'll get this started with two of my rigs. One is a single 1080 NonTi rig and the other is an SLI 980 Ti rig.

The 1080 rig runs Windows 7 and the SLI 980 Ti runs Linux.

Aren't they lovely?

Oh... my. :playful: You need to give those poor things a proper home!

"My" systems are just a bunch of servers. Nothing exciting, or interesting, at all. :)

*edit* At least MN Scout won't feel so self conscious about his cable management now! :ROFLMAO:

Here's my first 4P in one of my spare bedrooms. That server on the floor is Out of Order (It was a MySQL database backup rig back in the day)

To the right of this, out of view is my 3x 980 Ti rig. I'll snap some pics of it next time I go upstairs.

Interesting....I have that same 4P motherboard that I purchased off of Musky back in the day, but the orientation of all of my fans/HSF's goes front to back, whereas your you've got yours set up across the length of your MB. I'm running 4x 6180SE CPU's overclocked to a mere 2.7 Ghz on mine. What chips you you run on your Skills?

^^ Start of Supermicro Overclocking project (tear, where are you? Remember the single 62XX CPU we tested?).

Question: Are G34 obsolete at this point??

Nope. My main CPU production comes from G34 4p rigs.

Nice collection!

Dual e5-2670 system, 56gb ram. Its an SSI-EEB form factor crammed into an ATX case since I'm too cheap to buy another one. Just started using it for BOINC, and its been off during the heat wave. No AC :(

Current computer setup. Xeon X5670 at 4GHz, 48GB ram, EVGA 1080TI SC Black Edition Gaming, and ASUS ROG-Strix 1080TI OC Gaming.

Back in the olden days of F@H on this team, I had a few more computers and a much more disorganized "office". 2005 time frame. The AMD 64 processor and motherboard, I won during one of the team's old contests. All but the main computer were changed over to a diskless F@H network booting setup and then shoved in a closet at my apartment during my college years.

Important 80mm to 120mm cardboard fan adaptor to keep one of the above computers running F@H at 100%

Headless 2683-v3 currently running WCG at 100%. It is pulling about 141 W from the wall at default stock. There is a GT 710 which is not for DC.
This has dual BIOS switch. One for turbo all cores, the other default stock.

Headless 2695-v2 with 1080. Add 970 if needed.

Last week I retired two of my Supermicro H8QME-2 4P folders that I've had around for many years now. When they got rid of BigAdv my total production dropped to around 100k PPD and I was sad, but then last week I realized the power of GPU folding, bought a pair of GTX1080s and dropped them onto an old X4 AMD motherboard and WOW! I'd been turning electricity into heat for years for minimal gain, but now for about a quarter of the electricity I've increased my production by 7-8x. Unbelievable.

Yep, been using a combination of CPU and GPU's ever since the GTX260 days. I actually had five of those bad boys crunching F@H at the same time, and that generated a lot of heat for the man cave! I currently supplement my 4P these days using a couple of 1080Ti cards, but have a couple more and a 1070 at my disposal if I feel compelled to fire them up. I've actually been considering retirement from F@H in February, as that will mark my 10 year anniversary with the program. Used to run G@H (Genome @ Home) with the [H]orde prior to that. Been a long, long time ago.....

Using CPUs for F@H just isn't worth the electric cost when GPUs can do so much more. It's best to move CPUs to BOINC projects and run F@H on GPUs.

To me, it's never been about the cost of electricity. It's always been about supporting the F@H project. Hell I used to run dozens of machines using the single core client back in the day. The total number of WU's processed was always more important to me, so it's great that GPU's fly through them like they do. That being said, if anyone out there is interested in my 4P /6180SE setup (for BOINC, of course) then feel free to make me an offer!

Well even if it is about the work then GPUs do way more work for GPU/CPU based projects. Save the CPUs for CPU only projects.

My 1070 is currently taking 3.5hours to do a WU for 740k PPD, my pair of 2690v2 xeons are currently taking just under 2 hours to do a wu. 350k for 280w from the wall isn't that bad.

Oh and i'll have some updated rig photo's by the end of the week once the 3rd rig is working again:mad:

It doesn't quite compare to the gloriously nekkid rigs on here but she who must be obeyed won't put up with caseless computers in the house. Threadripper pics as promised:

but no such rules apply to the garage. What a waste of a perfectly good space heater.

That your AMD 4P sitting nekkid? What heat sinks are those. They're massive!

Yes, I didn't want heat to be a ever be a factor and may have gone a little overboard, lol. I can't remember the exact model but they're Noctua 120mm D0s.

The TR pic is nice. Neat and inspiring with excellent PPD! (y)

wareyore & RaodenTheRed, since auntjemima isn't being forthcoming ( :p ) my Google-Fu says it's either a Spire Swirl IV or a Thermaltake SpinQ VT. Near as I can tell they're the exact same thing from both outfits
