NVIDIA Introduces GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti

Lower TDP than GTX750Ti (which means that it will fit in the same PCs)
More powerful than GTX750Ti.
Most designs don't require a 6-pin.
Combine it with DX11 games and even a Haswell or later dual-core, and you are most of the way to 1080p@30 fps with no other upgrades.

Medium settings for 1080P@30fps is not the focus of this community. Heck the only people interested on 1080P are those who want to play maxed out settings at very high refresh rates over 120FPS.. so {NG} Fidel statement is very correct, below GTX 1060 there's no point of interest for 99% of this forum. Same as it was with the 750ti and 950..

Dual core.....really?

Really.

Also, the OTHER reason I have stayed put elsewhere is that 4K is not (and won't be for a while), my focus as I'm in DST (Dead Socket Territory) and am NOT looking to spend my way out of it (mostly because I can't - I'm retired). I'm display-capped - and know it (by display-capped, I mean the monitor itself). Because I'm not looking to get spendy with the monitor, (not with either G-SYNC at the same resolution OR 4K -both are north of $300USD), my own needs are pretty plebian. I don't begrudge those that can afford it - I'm simply stating that I'm not one OF them.
