OFFICIAL : GTX 970 SETTLEMENT check thread

Few minutes? Wow, that's a first. Did you just include your claim number and that's it? I am also guessing you didn't get a deficient form in June?

EDIT: Nevermind I just noticed you sent [email protected] an e-mail, not the typical [email protected]. I think we should all contact KCC from now on instead of Bursor. They're the ones actually sending the money out, not Bursor. Bursor is simply the lawyers and KCC is the company handling the money.

I didn't even give them a claim number. I didn't get any communication from them at all since submitting the claim form in Sept 2016. In the claim, I submitted the receipt. In the email I just said:
I would like a status update on my portion of the GTX 970 settlement. I submitted info on https://www.gtx970settlement.com/Home.aspx back in September 2016.

They probably matched my email address. I'm still waiting for the check in the mail.

Sent mine in around November of last year, right before the deadline to file. I did not send it via registered or other forms of verifiable delivery. Never received any kind of confirmation or correspondence of any kind and quite frankly I had given up on ever hearing anything again until today, when my $30 check arrived! It too was dated 7-14-17. Keep eye on your mailboxes - a new wave of them may have just gone out!

For those who received the check, did you also receive rejection letters to send back?

I see a few posts over on NeoGAF forums that people are getting rejected TWICE. So this is going to be interesting.

I never heard a thing, no rejection letter or anything.

Honestly, I had about written it off. When I filed, I got an email with all my info in it, I don't remember having to do much but reply - I never scanned a receipt or anything. After all the rejection letter posts I'd seen here, people that had put in more work for the refund than I had, I figured I'd been duped and would never see the check. When I saw the letter today, I thought it was probably my rejection letter, never really figured I'd get a check with no pushback.

Finally got my check for $60 on 7/17/17. Still it got wiped out by the $60 speeding camera ticket I got along with it -.-

Got my $60 check today on top of another check from BOA Settlement LOL. Great to have checks instead of bills. haha

I received my check today(7/17/17), I filed my claim online using the document upload within the first week of notification from Newegg, end of October or beginning of November (?). I never received any documentation or rejection letter(s). I actually stopped checking this forum around May and figured I would never see the money. I signed up only to give my experience so hopefully this helps someone still waiting . . . . . . . .

Oddly enough, I got my check a long time ago but forgot to cash it lol, I never filed for anything though because that's on me

Sure enough, got my check AGAIN today lol, going to cash this one

I can't believe I actually got a check. Arrived today. I wonder how much the lawyers came out with?

I also got mine. Surprisingly.
2 cards.
Looking at the above posts, it seems like they mailed a lot of $60 checks at once.

Received my $30 check today, in NY. Don't remember when I submitted the thing, but I never received any sort of rejection first. Purchased within the first week or so of release, from Microcenter, which thoughtfully provided an email receipt (bought in store, but there's no way I still had the physical receipt at that point).

Just by looking at others response. It appears this round of checks does not include people who received a rejection notice. Which is quite unfortunate.

Yep..... Still waiting on my 6...... All receipts and serials provided after first rejection here in Michigan.

got my $30 check!...thank you Nvidia GTX 970 3.5GB!...I received a discount on my original purchase of the 970 after purchase due to the .5 GB issue and now a settlement check as well...will go down as one of the cheapest mid/high end video cards I ever purchased...hopefully Nvidia will not think it can get away with misrepresenting their product ever again...1/2 GB of VRAM cost them a decent amount of $$

Promised to keep this thread updated, And can clearly see many are receiving there comp. I also got my 30$ check today, This is my first experience with something like this glad it was a good one. *Note I purchased mine threw New Egg and provided all that was asked for.

How was the discount provided by new egg? Did you purchase a 970 after the settlement news?

I bought it through Amazon...called them up after reports of the VRAM issue surfaced...the rep I spoke to was familiar with the issue and gave me a decent discount (I also had the option to return the card)

Just received my check. I live in the South West (NM) so if you live in the region check your mailbox.

I just received my check today (2017-07-18). I never received a deficient claim letter or anything, so hopefully those of you who did will be getting your checks as well.

Check received 7/20/17, dated 7/14/17. All $90 accounted for. Never had to file any additional paperwork.
