New monitor - preferably 32'', 1440p, VA

I've been looking to buy a new display, ideally a 32'', 2560x1440 and VA - I play a lot of dark games and the contrast is just a lot better with VA.
Bought a Samsung S32D850T last week, but unfortunately had to return it - some relatively light BLB, some heavy banding on light blue and grey and it sometimes dropped signal from DisplayPort.
So now I'm back to picking a replacement.
Been looking at:
  • Phillips BDM3270
  • Benq BL3200PT
  • Benq PD3200Q
  • Samsung C32H711 - curved, new
  • Samsung C27H711 - 27'', curved, new
I don't feel like I necessarily want a 144 Hz panel, I mostly play slower paced and/or single player games. Plus G-Sync + VA at 2560x1440 is impossible to find.
Not sure how much I should worry about input lag, the Samsung I returned felt ok to me and the Benq and Phillips monitors are only marginally slower.
Any recommendations? I'd be infinitely grateful.

I might pull the trigger on it's newer brother the PD3200Q. Apparently it has pretty low input lag while keeping all the good things of the older model.

No. The OP wanted 1440p and so do I.

I find text too small on a 27" with font scaling and I would prefer to avoid that in Windows. 1440 also can be done with a less powerful GPU.

My issue with the 32" 1440p screens is that they all seem to have the same VA panel and there are no IPS versions.
 
There are 32" 1440p IPS panels. Asus VA32AQ for example (ironic that it has "VA" in the name).
The Amazon reviews for the Asus aren't stellar though
 
Thanks. Good to know they exist, maybe there will be a better implementation that has that panel.

The Benq PD3200Q has a VA panel as well, but seems reasonably fast. If you're looking for IPS level color consistency it probably won't satisfy though.

I've ordered one, will report back on Friday/Saturday with how I like it. Won't be home before then sadly.
 
Whatever you buy do you research first wheter VA monitor you choose has smearing in dark scenes (something like Skyrim btw was the most evident game to show this "effect", its bassically VA panels (in general) havind horrendous transinion time for some dark shades resulting in dark halo (not ghosting which is totally expected) on some dark shade transitions). My main gaming LCD is IPS but TV is using Samsung VA panel (won panel lottery few years ago) and there is no smearing so it can be done.

Btw just remembered – when I was deciding what to buy (2 years ago) – 32" VA/34" IPS, I bought 34" IPS because after much research most (all?) 32" 2560x1440 monitors used the same VA panel which was susceptible to this so do your research well. If I had to choose again I would buy something like samsung un40ku6300 (VA panel) but it would be too small if you like bigger pixels and do not like to use scaling (I would say its borderline usable without scaling as text is very small).

I have ASUS PB328Q from Amazon...
Play Skyrim to Doom Maxed... No Dark ghosting or lag...
i7 with 1080 FE...
HDMI at 2560x1440 at 60Hz
DP at 2560x1440 at 75Hz
 
Limscave is reviewing the C32CHG70. 32", VA, quantum dot, HDR, freesync2.
- good luminance, freat contrast. perfect motion blur. Freesync2 has issues and HDR is broken. Still, one of best gaming monitors on the market:

I just ordered that monitor C32CHG70 but haven't arrived yet. I have the 34" Samsung CF791 and it's a great monitor but these one should be better. I'll give you my non-expert impressions.
 
Phillips BDM3270 easily:
+5 year warranty
+best 1440p VA monitor reviewed on Tomshardware
+no weird Samsung vertical pixel spacing causing blurry text
+avoid possibly terrible Samsung warranty support according to some

I'm trying one out at the moment. My FW900 is developing some flyback focus issues, so I thought I would look at alternatives. It's the cheapest 32" VA in my country, and the Tomshardware review gives a very nice impression of it..
Gotta say, the review didn't lie, this is an excellent monitor. Factory calibration, inky blacks with nothing but very slight gamma glow in the corners. The QP2 version, the one Toms reviewed and the one I got, has a reflective semi glossy coating, which I happen to enjoy as well - I'm not sure other 32" VAs offer this. Impressive build quality and stand.

For gaming, I'm used to good lag and motion -performance with the FW900. The Philips was better than I expected in this department, with neither the processing lag nor the response times bothering me much. For general use and slower games, I would keep it. What does bother me is the fact that I forgot how miserable 60hz is for first and third person games - either the tearing is obscene or the V-Sync completely kills what responsiveness this monitor has.
Also my unit came with a dead pixel near the center. Contemplating trying the Pavilion 32 instead, for that adaptive sync, or perhaps an AG322QCX, for that higher refresh rate as well.
