The owner of Ashley Madison, Ruby Life Inc., will pay $11.2 million to settle a class-action lawsuit brought on behalf of 37 million users of the adultery website after a 2015 data breach exposed information on millions of users. The money will go to affected users, with up to $3,500 paid to those with multiple accounts and proper documentation.

AshleyMadison.com was hacked by a group calling itself Impact Team in July 2015 and users' names, addresses, credit card information and more was soon posted online. While the company was quick to say there was no proof the leaked was accurate - and there were several cases where users obviously employed fake names - the fallout was massive. Tens of thousands of government and military email addresses showed up on the list of Ashley Madison users.

$3500 in settlement worth the half your net worth (plus alimony/child support you probably have to pay).... weeeeee totally worth it! :D
At least they getting something. Normally when people get caught and they do get caught they get nothing.

Can't say that I have any sympathy for the "victims." They knew, or should have known, what the ramifications of getting caught were. Yeah, a certain percentage of them will get $3500, but most will probably get much less. Boo-hoo. The only real winners are the scumbag lawyers,

If my pre-caffeine math is correct, this works out to about 30 cents per member of the class. Betting the lawyers claiming to represent the victims got a bit more per team member. At least the settlement is in cash, not a $5 off coupon for future membership dues.

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the adulterers?

All I could think of was "so will their ex wives be entitled to half of it since it was "earned" during the marriage?
