I've seen ikea galant desks on craigslist for less than a card table at home depot.

I should move back to Iceland. My dad went there in April to visit some friends (he is Filipino and has some Filipino friends there) and the friend he was staying with pays $30/mo for water and electricity, and it's un-metered. he could use as much as he wants and only pays $30.

those costs don't out weight all the other costs though, icelands not a cheap country to live in and is even worse when trying to buy things overseas.

ya, cost of living and import tax is high. I lived there in the latter part of the 80's before moving back to the US in 1991.

good luck getting that through without being forced to pay a tax on it. tried that for a friend that lives there since i was going to the eve fanfest i was going to bring some computer shit he ordered in my suitcase, i got taxed out the ass for it.
