Bindless Textures Land In Mesa Git For RadeonSI

Good to see the development of Linux under Steam isn't showing any signs of slowing! Onwards and upwards! :)

I really <3 the mesa/opensource model + rolling release combination. It sure beats having to jack with the nvidia installer after every kernel update. I must admit that I haven't had an nvidia card in years, so this may/has probably changed. (I hope)

Continuous performance/feature enhancements!

One of the reasons I use Ubuntu derivatives. Nvidia drivers are easier to install under Ubuntu derivatives than they are under Windows. ;)

I find the Nvidia driver easier to install On Mint than Windows if I go into Drivers and pick the Nvidia driver but that version is usually out of date by 1-2 versions. If I always want to stay at the latest Nvidia driver and I get it from their site than it involves terminal commands which I usually don't feel like doing most days.

When using an Ubuntu derivative use the PPA method to install Nvidia drivers, avoid at all costs the outdated method Nvidia outline in their readme. I update drivers as soon as a new one's avaliable, takes me ~2-5 mins depending on download speed with no issues whatsoever. I never use Driver Manager.

Which PPA would you recommend for the Nvidia drivers ?
