I just made 25 bucks in burst!

Let me tell you how horrible it is watching the plotter ... plot. Christ, this feels so much slower than I thought it would.

98,304 of 11,444,760 after I don't know maybe half an hour.

I've done 300000 out of 60M in the last 20 minutes. Using 6700k @ 4.4. Not bragging, just for reference. This is my first time
Edit: 90M not 60... Yeah this will take 24 hrs. Still fun though.

Maximize the wallet you will see an address to the upper left click on the name my wallet it will ask you to set a name there with a description it costs 1 burst and yes for some reason it is required to generate your public key. Then you need another to set the reward. Otherwise set the miner to 127.0.0.1 and it will solo mine. From what i understand if you hit a block you will get 1300-3000 coins.

Thanks again for all your help Lunas. I've found a good faucet and named my wallet after I started plotting. I did see that I'm only plotting 1024 nonces per thread. I have 32 GB ram if that matters. Should I plot this a different way and start over or is what I'm doing ok?
 
I need to wait 2800 hrs to claim another burst from a faucet..... Guess I'll just solo for a month.....

Looks like it had crashed pretty early on, and I hadn't noticed before I ran out for a bit. Just restarted it. I'm using a 4690k @ 4.2 and getting around 8700 nonces/min, but it is also fighting for CPU time against the burst client trying to sync the local wallet.

Is syncing the local wallet required?

I'm using the online wallet. My new drives are averaging 5800-6300 / min but I have 3 plotting at once. We need to find a good pool we can join to mine afterwards.

I feel dumb. I clicked on that earlier, and it hadn't worked. Now I've got that logged in. I don't care to keep a local wallet on my PC anyways, just seemed to think it was required since it seemed like that was the only option at the time.

Looks like I'm getting right around 9000 nonces/min now.

I'm sure we can convince one of these guys to send a burst or two our ways to get us started on a pool :)

I dunno. Coins are worth 1.7 cents right now. Going to be hard to part with those. ;)
 
Looks like I am pool mining but it currently says "no deadline" on the bottom status bar, is that normal?
 
I'll get back on here in 3.47 days. Going rate to plot and optimize 24tb

Guess I'll have a beer or 12....

yes when it finds a deadline that is the thing you get paid for give it time.

I am getting 32,000 nonces/min on my 4TB drive, it's been running since 8am this morning and now it's 12:30am. I wonder how much longer it should take.

at that speed it should only take about 8 hours to do it at least that is all my 280x at 27k nounces per min takes...
 
I would like to get into Mining. Hell, to just break even...
 
Averaging 18k nonces across 3 drives simultaneously. Is this right for a cpu plot? At this rate it will take me a week to plot......

yep actually rather high for cpu plotting which is why i recommended gpu plotting then optimizing for the first 2 drives cpu plotting just the 3rd... there might be some optimization of commands you can do like setting more ram or threads to use.

Thanks..I'm just going to let it run though. I don't have enough drives or time to shuffle around. I'll just let it go. I'm sure I'll make up for it when I actually start mining. Cheers
 
When I first plotted 8Tb drives 3 at a time it took my 6600k over a week and if I recall it was almost 2 weeks lol. Never plotted so many drives simultaneously again!

Just broke 7% on all 3. 6 hrs in. It's time for a Superman and lotr Marathon. Then I'll go check again. Lol

I just did not bother with optimization and set it up to do it while I slept then went to work using the GPU version I was able to have it do a drive then start the next and then the next then the next. That said I also had about 6 16gb USB and micro SD cards I plotted and threw in a 64gb and a counterfit pny 128gb micro SD... Humm perhaps I should reorganize things a bit and optimize them nah the little flash drives mine fast enough to not really need it the 4tb I am probably going to do when my X4 845 gets here... I am upgrading my 7850k to a lower power use chip with avx2 and a higher ipc...

this is strange, my wallet shows a ton of coins, 50K then 60K in a few minutes,

My machine restarted at some point last night for a Windows Update it appears, forcing my plotting to start all over again this morning. Argh, back at 5%.

I have to say, I am pretty disappointed with this Burst Client software. Doesn't seem like the most rock-solid piece of software (I mean, I know it is built on Java and all, but jesus..)
 
The client is crap for sure. Sorry you had an update kill your plot! I'm going upstairs now to check power/update settings since I have another 3 days to go!
 
I sent myself 125K to another account and it shows up. Not sure what is going on.

I am going to see if my friend is willing to invest in a couple of 8TB drives since he missed out on getting into bitcoin.

Yeah, this is terrible, lol. My laptop's i7-7500u also has AVX2, so once my external drive shows up, I suppose I'll use that for plotting that drive.

I am pretty sure there is a glitch on my system as you can't generate this many coins in 5 hours.

My friend is going to buy an 8TB drive for me to use, so hopefully I get this all sorted soon and start generating real money.

No not normal you may have been super super lucky but I doubt it.
 
The odds of being that lucky.... Are impossible lol

I've seen this before and I'd bet you're on a fork. Meaning you are only person mining so you always get all the reward but you can't sell or transfer coins to people on the production fork.

Do you have a local wallet that is fully synced? I typically download the wallet database vs letting the client sync it, takes much less time and is more reliable.

that is probably what has happened.

I am going to download the wallet database and start again later tonight.
