DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Micron/SuperMicro MTA18ADF2G72AZ-2G3 is too 16GB ECC VLP UDIMM. Apacer have too Industrial DDR4 Non-ECC VLP like Innodisk, but i can`t find price and where is possible to buy.

This is pure madness. I hope the riser cards are removable or they may be too tall for the new heatsink.

It looks like the m.2 riser is slotted in something called 1626, anybody know the type of slot (mini-PCIe?). I don't think the sata riser is detachable, haven't found a good picture of it yet.

Ah, its just the Cu version of the C1, sorry, I looked on their website couldn't find the same model, must have had sh*t in my eyes.


To redeem myself, a useful excerpt from the same site:

Improved conductivity is cool (ha!) but in SFF cases, dissipation via surface area/fan power is the more limiting factor. Having said that, copper will help if the other factors are taken care of, so fingers crossed for Dan's tests!
 
In your spec on page 1 the fan dimensions are 100x100x15 and fin dimensions of 130x120x60. It sounds like the just announced http://noctua.at/en/nf-a12x15-pwm.html would fit perfectly although LP RAM man need to be used...

The last 4 or so pages of this thread repeatedly discusses this, including the difficulty of locating DDR4 VLP ram. Dondan will be testing this when he actually gets the samples.
 
Anyone else wondering how it's going to stack up with the 92mm AIO?
See these:
Nexus 7000 Low R2 with 3GHz 5820K : 60.6°C
Asetek 545LC AIO 92mm with 3GHz 5820K : 53.8°C

So around 5°C behind AIO cooler, because HSLP-48 supposed to be better than Nexus 7000 R2 with 3-5°C, but will see.
 
5820k is 140W TDP and LP coolers under 50mm are capable under 100W TDP.
If you overclock it, you need cooler that can handle more than 140W TDP.
For example Raijintek Pallas (68mm height): FX 8350 OC and 6700K OC

Dynatron has the t318 rated at 165w and the r15 rated at 150w and both are 27mm tall.

I use the t318 as my x99e uses a narrow ilm socket. The r15 will fit the new x299e's square socket. But we are really just waiting for the HeatSinkLowProfile-48
 
There is also an all copper version of the C7 which is slated to probably be one of the first to hit production. It is really nicely made but man are the units deceptively heavy.
 
Welp, this would explain why Noctua didn't want to back the HSLP-48. They had plans of their own. Still too tall at 70mm...

This is almost twice the size of the HSLP48. This is in no way targets any case smaller than 12L.
 
They certainly seem to be sticking to 4 heat pipes with their designs, they weren't trying to mislead Dan when they said 4 is enough. I still want 12 heat pipes though ;)
