NCASE M1 Softshell Carry Bag for community

There is an extra padded divider for the Laptop + Dan Case / eGPU kit to separate the case from laptop(s).
Is that divider removable? In other words, is the A4/eGPU version compatible with the M1?

Also the gadget tray is the same thing as a Grid-It, is that correct?

I hope there will be some way you can promote this better. Kind of hard to find the website when the first post in this thread is by a different user with no mention of your new bag.

I look forward to making my preorder! Just in time for college graduation haha!

It's a soft launch, I'm still updating the website content.

We will make it more public later.

Been waiting for this! Pre ordered right away. My mobile watercooled itx build is starting to form :p

Oh we are talking monitors in carry on luggage? Why don't you ask your resident expert :) ? I started researching this topic and buying relevant monitors in 2011 and I must say I know everything there's to know about them. I have owned or still own a Samsung LD220G, an AOC E2251FWU (this is actually the only one that I do not have any more, reasons below), an AOC e2351F, a HP L2201x and an AOC M2060SWD -- and a Sharp LL-S201A. First of all, I will not talk of any monitor below full HD, I just couldn't care less of any such.

As you can see, I really, really tried everything :) monitors, AC adapters, stands, everything. I also tried more than a few backpacks, at the end I got Red Oxx to customize a Sky Train backpack for me, it fits the Sharp LL-S201A and the AOC M2060SWD to keep my options open. Otherwise, finding a carry on backpack which is able to house a monitor this big and also make a 14" laptop externally accessible... good luck! I couldn't. It's pretty damn near impossible. Some of the Magma DJ backpacks come close but not good enough.

Any questions?

Chx,

Thanks so much for your post. I feel like the biggest idiot pretty much barking up the same tree after you have already done such extensive research and gone through so much experience yourself.
I have the GeChic 1303H and 1503H right now and was just looking at the AOC slims...
Then I saw your post.

I'll have to settle for the 1503H for now, there is simply nothing in the market which is light and slim enough for our carry on luggage which wouldn't also take up all of the weight and space.

I wasn't intending to use the monitor just for my laptop, I am using them for my m1 [My favourite case by far, I have 3 and love all of them] or ncase [In this particular trip I am using the ncase since it is so much easier to put it into a camera bag as carry-on]

But I don't have a reservoir and don't want it moving around....

In my experience, the weight of the M1 or loaded SFF PC effectively prevent it form moving around when carrying it.

You can always stock a t-shirt behind the case if you are still concerned - I have put headphone in spot behind M1 before.

Sorry Wahaha for going off topic, I noticed that you are replying to this thread. Was it you or Necere who's based in Portland? I'm in Portland OR now (I come here 3 to 4 times annually). Bringing a full powered desktop such as the NCase and DAN A4 has been my dream for the longest time and I've actually done it on my trip now.
Would love to try out any other configuration of your new machines and transporting them internationally, I bring them to/fro from South East Asia and Australia.

Necere is on the west coast.

I'm on the east coast and travel for my day job.

They do ship the carry bag to Brazil. And I also have done my pre-order. Now, just hopping it doesn't get tax applied or if it does, doesn't cost an eyeball... Lol

We are very aware of high taxes for a lot of countries.

So we already made plans in advance ;)

Ah yes, I used to sell fabric internationally, we marked all packages going as "fabric sample". No value, but $700 insurance.

Just got off the phone a shipping company that specializes in US and Canada shipping. US and Canada shipping is now $5 instead of 20.

Basically, we are bundling/co-mingling our shipments for US and Canada with their shipments, hence the savings.

Will refund US and CA customers within 48 hours.

dam didn't realize there was a site to order from. getting mine pre-ordered after work

So how's the drop protection of this bag can provide lets say if i drop it and it mumps i to something and if i put it in cabin storage???

It is pre order only right now? I was waiting to see it take actual orders before I decided.

Is the Dan case/laptop divider held in place some how? (Velcro or similar?) in the photos it just looks like its sitting in there?

I have accidentally dropped it from the top of a carry-on suitcase to the floor with a fully loaded M1 inside (<10KG, about 22 inch drop) - I was too lazy to loop the duffle onto the luggage handle.

I'm pretty sure I have bumped into variety of things during my trips.

Just to be clear, it's NOT made for drop protection.

The divider doesn't attach to allow for flexibility to carry other cases outside of Dan Case A4-SFX.

The Razer Core for example, is narrower than the A4-SFX, so a fixed divider would leave a gap. Once of my friends wants the bag for his SilverStone SG13, different dime dimensions again, so it didn't make sense to make the divider fixed.

Understandable, but if it used some type of hook and loop material to hold it in place, it would still be easily move/removed as required?

To help with drop protection I installed a mnpctech sli GPU support. If I'm moving my rig I want as much protection on that pcie slot as possible.

We are already in production for this version. I will keep it in mind for the next batch.

Sorry about that. I don't read these forums as frequently.
I updated the original post with new information.

That makes sense but the first post still takes you to ncases.com and I don't see any link to this separate website or brand. Am I missing something?

I'm liking the support offered for this case! Kind of regret not looking into it more when I purchased my most recent build.
