Anti-Dog Labels Found inside Samsung Galaxy Phones

Since the Galaxy S5 and Note 4, Samsung batteries have featured an anti-dog warning label. The explanation for this is that canines could easily pierce the battery if chewed and cause it to swell or burst into flames, which would be a particularly painful predicament if ingested. Am I the only one who finds this ironic, since South Korea reportedly eats 100,000 tons of dog meat (2.5 million dogs) a year?

…battery ingestion is dangerous to both humans and pets. But lithium-ion batteries in particular have a high output, which means they can explode (as we’ve famously learned from the Note 7.) My colleague Angela Chen explains that “the higher the voltage is, the more likely the electrolytes are to combine in a way that makes them catch fire.” If a dog were to chew and puncture the battery, it could cause the battery to swell and potentially burst into flames. Basically, you don’t want Fido in a situation where a battery could hiss and explode in its mouth. It’s obviously possible that a child could bite through the battery as well, but the likelihood of him / her piercing through the battery is lower.
 
It's not anti-dog... It is just a warning.

That would be the same as if the batteries were labeled with warnings to keep them away from babies, because they might ingest them. That would not make it "anti-baby."
 
This just in, humans are omnivores oh the humanities!

The irony is lost on me here, there are plenty of instances in our country where animals that can be legally sold on the meat market for consumption are also being kept as pets.

We're not alone on this.
 
But do not puncture would make more since as a warning. Other animals can chew things and I don't have any batteries without that warning.

I remember the Xbox360 had a anti cow sticker... Guess it was "do not plug the cable in the anus of the cow" or something :)
The sad story is that they're there for a reason, but I'd love to see the reason for the cow!
 
A country that eats dog meat puts a dog warning on a battery and this is seen as irony? Someone needs at least to buy a dictionary.
 
I just happen to have a battery from LG G3 near me , also has the dog warning

so move along nothing to see here
 
Gaegogi is pretty good. Not as good as horse but the A1 steak sauce and burnt burger crowd would probably not even taste a difference.
 
Its not that they eat dog but how they traditionally kill them that gets me. Maybe things have changed - I'm not up to speed on this issue - but hanging it up by the back feet, beating it to death with a club then burning all the hair off is just thuggish. Slippery slope though, so whatever. People are nasty.
