That's basically only a demo though. You don't get access to the full game. That still requires purchase.

lol price was lowered 1/4 not 1/2. $800 to $600. It has been a year pretty much, with slow sales. You'd rather them keep the price high so it tanks faster just so you can feel justified buying in at the wrong time?

Depending on the size of your VR space and if you prefer a roomscale VR experience (like crawling around on the ground in a battlesim), you may want to opt for a 3rd camera sensor. I'd say give the 2 camera sensor setup a go first though!

Thanks! Yeah. Saw that an additional sensor was only $60, but the disclaimer saying that it was kind of experimental and that not all games supported it made me think it was optional. I'll perhaps pick one up next paycheck or so.
I ordered from Oculus directly from their website. They shipped the touch controllers immediately, but not the Rift (or charged my card), so I'm thinking it's back ordered.
Still excited.
Grabbed touch the day after it dropped to $100 and wow, it's awesome. Been on a VR binge since, Doom3BFG is really good with touch as is robo-recall. Robo-recall gets a little repetitive, but the gun play is pretty awesome. I love grabbing a robot and then blasting it's head with the shotgun.
Fwiw, I only have the 2 cameras but all of my play has been standing room-scale. I get a little bit of hand tracking issues if faced away from the cameras and crouched, but it's minor enough I don't know that I'll bother with a 3rd camera.
