Wouldn’t it be cool if all developers did this? These “kits” are basically just PDFs with high-resolution artwork meant for all the creatives out there who intend to craft fanart, costumes for cosplay, and so forth, but they are neat even if you are merely interested in grasping the finer details of Andromeda’s squad. Actually, these have only succeeded in reaffirming the idea that your new partners in crime are pretty bland—someone tell BioWare that we want the Mass Effect 1/2/3 ones instead.

The Mass Effect community is filled with talented artists who have shared cosplay, illustrations, photographs, and countless other creations with us. With Mass Effect: Andromeda introducing you to a new galaxy and cast of characters, we want to give you the resources you need to keep creating. Our Andromeda character kits feature high-resolution images so you can capture all the details of your newest friends and allies. We’re humbled by what you have made so far, and are excited to see what you create next! We’re not done making kits, so please check back for more.

I loved the original Mass Effect because it brought a completely new gameplay experience to me (RPGs!? on a PC!?, me!?), and then I fell in love with it.

ME2 was FANTASTIC on the back of that, no question.

ME3? Well yeah, but until you decided to bitch about the ending, your mouth was shout the whole time right? (don't lie).

ME4: Who isn't? honestly?

ME3 as just any game, it was a solid 9/10. Edit, I feel like I'm being generous as a 9/10 when I think about other 9/10 stand alone games.

ME3 as a continuation of ME1 and 2 it was a huge let down, for me worse than NMS. After all the hype and promises of your decisions mattering, the reality was none of it actually did. Save or destroy the Rachni, didn't matter they brought em back anyway. It was like that for everything, none of your choices actually meant anything, and it was glaringly obvious to someone who loves RPG's, and loved the ME series. I held on till the end, but after that mess I completely walked from the series (and I had plans to replay 1-3). It was a complete boondoggle with the RGB ending and explaining the unexplainable (the reapers backstory was so bad).

In the end, ME3 undid all my love for the series, and basically rammed Casey Hudson's vision down my throat, instead of my story that was carefully played for over 200 hours.

The only reason I have any interest in ME4 is because of Dragon Age Inquisition and no Casey Hudson, but no interest in pre-order, most likely I'll wait for a sale.

I liked Mass Effect 3, but I do wish that my choices I had made would have carried over more from the first two games, and if its crime is just not being as good as two of the best games of all time, it is hard for me to be too mad. It is hard to be consistently on top, and actually release games close to on time, and overall BioWare manages to do that. I am sure that if they were more like Blizzard and just released games every once in a while their output would always be top notch, but I enjoy I actually getting to play games that are announced once in a while.

Yar, this. I was hoping the end game would've consisted of all my past ME1+2 choices coming back and having an impact on the final battle against the Reapers. Instead your past decisions barely got a blurb, and it boiled down to three corridor choices. Bleh.

Still, though, what a journey it was up to that point. Some of my best gaming moments were from that series.

It was (such a journey), which is why I left so bitter. If they hadn't promised so much it would have been an easier pill to swallow.

I think part of why it felt like such a gut-punch with ME3 was you were able to fully flesh out a character that you became intimately involved with over the series. Shepard wasn't just another action hero, they were the culmination of your choices throughout the hundreds of hours you lead them to their goals. Having the open-ended choices replaced by what boiled down to choose the color of the ending cinematic backlighting wasn't just disappointing, it was a slap in the face of what made the series so very worth playing up to that point. You had the choices before to often reject what choices were offered to you, to create your own path. You were given the option to cheat fate, like Kirk and the Kobayashi Maru. Situations where everyone else in the galaxy was convinced there was no winning option, would be proven wrong by Shepard's industrious and clever choices. Even if done simply, that is an extremely empowering message in storytelling. I want to imagine Andromeda will hearken back to that idea of digging deeper to create your own way and to deeply flesh out your character and team. I want to, but I won't hold my breath over it either.

I'm so sick of hearing about the ME3 ending. Everyone agrees that it sucked. It's a game. It happened 5 years ago. Get over it.
