NCASE M1 Softshell Carry Bag for community

That's nice of you to help out Dan with carrying cases as well! I love seeing the community working together on projects. I like the idea of making it a different brand. Hopefully this means more for the future of both though!

Off topic, but does this man that we can expect an update to the NCase website soon? It would be nice to have some more detailed options on there like Dan and Zaper's that have more clear ways to know what you are doing, which would also remedy Linus' biggest complaint of lack of easily accessible documentation.

We band together for survival, if we don't lower costs by combining our volume, future is bleak for all of us.

I also reached out to Kimera guys, so maybe I will work on something with them as well.

That is the plan, but no promises (I am not a engineer by education or training, I'm learning Shopify as we go).

I had move my holiday around to make time so we can launch a new website, we will try.

wahaha360 Hello, I've been following this thread from the sidelines but if you need help with web-development I would be willing to help out in this case :) I'll send you a PM!

The new version of the bag looks great! I'm sorry to hear we lost our first maker, but not too surprised it was unsustainable for her. I'm glad that the original project led to Waha's version, which sounds like it will price out well and can be manufactured in larger quantities. Great to see!!

That reminds me, I need to reach out to her about the bag :)

Finally back home for the holidays, so I took some more pics:

what's in the bag:
- Razer Core + GPU
- 13" MacBook Pro + Charger
- 13" MacBook Air + Charger
- 12" Razer Blade Stealth + Charger
- Battery Banks x 2
- Cellphones x 2
- Dongles and cables

I made the accessories organizer removable so it's easier for airport security too:

> Carry-on ready (~48x30x24cm, ~19x12x10in)

The United sizer for personal items is 9"x11"x18" . No chance of fitting into that, right? :)

The new prototype pockets are collapsible ;)

A video of what the bag can carry (removing the padding/sleeve turns the bag into a duffle for everyday use)

M1 inside the bag.

Awesome! To be specific, what are the dimensions of the keyboard you fit in there?

I'm assuming that there is barely enough room to fit in a fold-able pair of headphones like the M50x's, but it looks amazing to me, especially with the removable pocket.

Side Note: Look at w360 rocking the sweater. Time to get NCase branded apparel?

wahaha360 are you still working on a bag for the Dan A4?

Yes, it will most likely be this bag with different inner cushion.

The problem is the MOQ to get the price down, to do an entirely different bag would be expensive for the M1 and A4.

I will make a post about the A4 after I get the A4 and the A4 bag

I imagine the A4 will only fit one way in the bag since it is significantly taller than the M1 is wide, so does that mean the difference in width (112mm vs 160mm) will be taken up entirely by additional padding, or will there be room for accessories?

Can't wait to see it. I'd be interested in getting one bag to use with both cases.

The Razer Core is about the size of the A4 (including feet and protrusions):
- Razer Core 105x219x340mm
- A4-SFXV1: 112x205x327mm

The plan is to accommodate A4-SFXV1, TKL Keyboard, Mouse, and Headphones into the main pocket.

Still looking at Feb for delivery?

The factory in China that will make this bag is shutting down between mid Jan to end of Feb for Chinese New Year, there is not enough time. March if all goes well.

Yes yes yes. Where do I sign up?

Working on a new website for pre-orders, will send an update when it's ready.

Since this bag is going to fit M1, A4, Razer Core+Laptop, and some other cases, it's going under a different brand.

Oooh no Ncase M1 Branding? I really liked the idea for my case.
Its ok if not, just seeking clarification.

Velcro patches could be an alternative to branding for a single case. Of course someone needs to make the patches and you'd have to add the velcro to the current case, but that could be an extra that some of us may be willing to pay for. I know I would.

I was thinking about metal Logo + some buttons to secure it in place.

Truly excited for this, when not moving my computer, I can use this as a drone bag too.

Really interested in this! Definitely purchasing if it's available in march/april. Any idea on pricing?

I already have the sample, I have to make some adjustments to the 1) straps, 2) zippers, 3) cushion.

I would say prob JAN 2017.

Carry-on ready (~48x30x24cm, ~19x12x10in)
1680 Denier Nylon, 1.25 inch traps, YKK zippers, metal hardware

Targeting less than USD 100

one page back I think if you want to read the whole post

Love the promo video! I updated the original post with current status. When the new bag becomes available, I'll be glad to update the original post again with a link, if that's helpful.

Check the last few pages. Dan's working on a new case.

Necere is taking over, so I will have more time for the bag and website :)

I just received a new bag with cushion divider for the A4 and Razer Core (both about the same size).

Next, I will mail to DonDan, the bag is already M1 and Razer Core ready, just need to make sure there are no problems for the A4, then we can move to the next step.

This!!

wahaha360, I too want this bag. Count me as one more towards your MOQ.

The unofficial bag could be ordered in a slightly longer version to accomodate the external reservoir many people are using with their NCASEs. By the looks of it this wouldnt fit here, atleast not in the prototype bag, or am I wrong? Will NCases with external reservoir fit in the new bag?

It looks like it's a very tight fit for the case itself just to make sure it won't move around in transit, so I doubt that the reservoir would fit.
