You'll want to play these games in order, I think. So I hope you've played the first already. If not, it's still a decent game/story on its own, but it's still a continuation of the first game and ties into it a bit.

Got the DL last night and tried to fire it up.. was prompted with an account setup screen. WTF is that all about??

It's probably the Cerberus (EA) account login so you can download and verify DLC if available.
