A Dedrone is a Good Drone

Got a drone problem? Have no fear, Dedrone is here. Personally my favorite drone control device is a Mossberg 930 SPX, and it has plenty of other uses as well, but assuredly may not be for everyone.

Drone Tracker is used around the world to protect critical infrastructure, stadiums, prisons, and VIPs from illegal or improper intrusion by small drones. Dedrone’s most notable references include the Clinton-Trump televised debates, the Suffolk County prison in New York, the Royal Family of Qatar, and the New York Mets’ stadium. In November of last year, Dedrone was recognized as one of the most promising start-ups in the world as part of the Cisco Innovation Grand Challenge.

But but but, what if the drone is autonomic and pre-programmed. That jammer wouldn't work, would it?
Also, over here you're not supposed to run any sort of RF jamming devices.
I prefer to use a powerful laser. Most have an adjustable focal length, so you can use them like a flashlight and prevent the camera from seeing stuff. Safer, cheaper, simpler. Maybe not as automatic as this setup though.
The blue lasers nowadays, at the ~100-150 dollar price point, easily light matches on fire, burn dark paper and at close range they'd probably damage the camera's sensor permanently.
After using mine for only a few minutes I had light headaches and had to use glasses to play with them. And it was sorta dangerous to carry them in your pocket because should they turn on, your pants would ignite.

Problem with that is it just increases weight and now battery requirement and lift force needs. Also it still needs the ability to see magnetic north for accuracy. Through software though you could have it filter erroneous changes in the field and alias them out because it should have a level of predictability with its turning.

Shooting them down is the only sure way, but puncturing the lipo and it landing god knows where becomes a whole new problem.

I love flying, great time waster and the pics you can get are fantastic, but dammit people be respectful. I fly on private property with permission with about 50acres of play space.

There's a known exploit for most popular drones (DJI, 3dr, Parrot, Yuneec, etc.) that allows another device to send commands to the drone even if it's in autonomous flight (that includes rewriting the home coordinates and forcing a landing, or spoofing the GPS). A simple RaspPi can do it. You'd have to disable the backup radio receiver. Obviously, if you're setting up your drone for autonomous flight with no radio/data connections what-so-ever, you're likely doing something stupid.

I'm assuming that's one of the things Dedrone tests on a drone in its area.

Heck, I'm surprised they haven't made it a requirement to have an override backdoor permanently. Or a special frequency that the drone is required to listen to - if signal matches then forced RTB. Sure, there could be abuse/trolls, but it'd make the forest firefighters life easier. Disabling the feature would need to have consequences (as well as spoofing the emergency band).

A Berretta A300 semi automatic works nicely also, especially for those of us having senior citizen eyesight. I'm looking to upgrade to a Benelli M4 (more capacity).

930spx has even more capacity at half the price of the Benelli

Wow, this is a bit like killing a fly with dynamite - the remedy being more harmfull then the problem.
Are lasers more dangerous then drones? - Yes. As a matter of fact after reading your post, it's safe to assert that a laser in your hands is more dangerous then a modern drone being conrolled by a 5-year old. Please stop playing with lasers before you make yourself or someone else blind.
