Just popped in a 960 Evo to replace my 850 Evo. I never used NVMe before, but I read that the Samsung drivers give the best performance. Not too hard to find on their site, but when I try to download the driver it gives me this error:

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/notice.html

WTF?!?!?!?!?!? Like Samsung can't afford a little bandwidth to allow a 3.5 MB download? I've never EVER bought a new product and then not been able to download the driver from the manufacturer immediately.

I guess the daily download reset because I was able to download it last night.

They've done this before on the Samsugn Magician software. I downloaded it from MajorGeeks or Tech spot.

They do this to limit any kind of issues in case there's a software problem.

They have messed up in the past, this gives them the chance to spot issues before it hits too many users for them to handle, in my eyes it is a pretty decent compromise.

It is also proof positive that you should not update your samsung firmware the moment they release it.

The only problem with this is that there isn't a link to the older 2.0 driver instead of the newest 2.1 driver. So I'm left with wondering when I could download the Samsung driver or with the MS driver. Fortunately (in this case anyway), it was a Windows 10 machine with a built-in NVMe driver or I would have been SOL.
