This $5 sticker is probably your best line of defense against having your Apple AirPods stolen. Admit it, with this sticker, you could leave your AirPods just laying around in the open and no one would touch them. :D
 
Smartest thing Apple could have done was link the AirPods to an iCloud account for activation so once they're linked to a given account they won't work with another user's account without all the hassles of removing them from the original one.

I figured sooner or later Apple will do this kind of lock-down on everything they sell which would really put a dent into the black market device thefts. Even iCloud still hasn't been cracked in spite of all the eBay and craigslist ads professing to be able to get around it and make stolen devices useful again.
 
Careful their, some people equate phishing with hacking. And we are greatful for that type of iCloud hacking.

How do you link bluetooth to the cloud? Curious minds would like to know.
