Its in warranty....what do you think they will replace it with. Its a Gigabyte.

GTX 1060 if they don't have any other GTX 970 lying around. honestly you would be a winner if they offer a GTX 1060 as replacement, so try to shoot for that.

How lucky are you at roulette?
Got no luck at gambling. I figure they stopped making 780"s a while ago. So it could be a refurbs 780Ti. I'm hoping for a 970 or a 1060.
I've ordered a 1070 to replace it and figure I'll sell the replacement to recoup some of the cost.

That's a solid move.

Which 1070 did you go with?

The Gigabyte G1. All the 1070's seem to overclock to close to the same levels and I'm running a 1080p monitor
so I doubt I'd see much of a difference between any of them. The G1 was on sale which did not hurt.

Got my 1070 and it sure is an upgrade. Runs Witcher 3 at ultra with Hairworks enabled smooth as butta.
I'll let you all know what I get as a warranty replacement for my dead 780Ti.

I rma'ed a 780ti last month and got the same exact model back.

Just depends on what the RMA team has on hand.

Interested to know how this story ends.
I'm still waiting myself. Took me a while to get a box the right size to ship the dead card and they got it on Dec. 26. They claim a turnaround of 3 to 5
business days so it should not be much longer till I know.

what are you people talking about offers. I RMA tons of stuff and never got a negotiation email... Last thing I RMA'd was a reference 290 and get a Aftermarket 390x. They just send you what they feel like lol

Last time I RMA'd a card was an 8800GT and I did get an email back. Sadly it was replaced with another 8800GT.

Well they are sending me a 980 Windforce edition as a replacement. I think that's pretty reasonable. What do you think.

Not a bad resolution! Would've been nice to get 1060 as the latest card of the same power as 980, but it's still better than refurbished 780ti :D
