It's time once again for ThinkComputer's monthly Worst PC Setups feature. I chose this one because of the the many, many screwed up things going on in the picture. Who cares about the computer any way, what the hell is in that bowl? :D

Some might think this shown below is a really crap PC setup.. but I think it's the SHITS!! :wacky: Just needs a mini frig nearby or ice in the tub!!

Most of these people's problems could be solved with a $30 desk from Ikea.

Also, referring to your setup as a 'Battlestation' pisses me off to no end.

I can't say that I haven't been there before, especially with this guy's setup:

I was in a similar boat back in 2002, when I moved to Alabama (from Connecticut), and the thieving movers arrived 3 weeks late, with several of my boxes missing, and my digital piano damaged. I had to get my computer setup ASAP, so I had bought one of those sturdy resin-based folding tables. At least it had enough strength to support my 19" CRT monitor.

I'm not sure if I want to game on any of those 30$ options, even compared to some of what they have set up. It just doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.

As far as it being called a battle station, I can't really comment. They do battle on them, and that's where they do it. Hence it's a battle station. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Is it? I've seen enough of these to think they are being serious about using that terminology.

I dunno. In the beginning, it was certainly more serious when the term "battlestation" was used, but nowadays they're more "look at my friend's shitty setup" lulz, and the rest of them are just "sucks to be me" posts and setup trolls.

I have the VITTSJÖ. It was CAD 39.99 at the time I bought it and is sufficient for gaming as long as your monitor isn't too big. Anything larger and I'd go for the MICKE.

As to your second point, no, they aren't 'doing battle' they are playing video games. Call a spade a spade.

Over the years the best is still the one that was water cooled using water from a toilet tank. That picture was a classic. How many years ago was that?
