Picked up a pretty decent 1080p projector (Benq MH530) and I've been wanting to play some games on it using my 1070 equipped laptop.

Main concern I guess would be input lag. Thinking of a racing game like Forza Horizon 3 or any other good PC games to play with controllers like The Witcher 3.

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with PC gaming on a projector.

And yes I'll just try it and see how it goes, no need for that obvious comment. xD

Being a DLP projector you should not notice any input lag. I have one as well hooked to a PS4 and it is very nice.

Awesome! I've also got a 10ft screen and some PA speakers to go with it. Gonna make a sweet outdoor setup!

Need to get some people over for Smash and Mario Kart on a 64 emulator too!

I have a Viewsonic pro8200 and game on it all the time in the media room, the only problem I have with DLP is the rainbow effect sometimes (only off center viewing), but generally no problems. Maybe the biggest thing is getting a good keyboard and mouse and pad that wok in the chair. I did try the Steam controller but I guess I never put the time in to get good with it, but for games that just need a controller the Xbox One / S controller is very good with nothing noticeable lag wise. Maybe another thing to look at is calibrating the colors int eh projector, so you don't have to crank up the brightness in dark games ;)

Hm, I'm gonna be viewing off angle most of the time probably, hopefully I won't notice much of a rainbow effect. I'd love to figure out a way to use a mouse and keyboard with it but it might be difficult, I plan to use this outside until winter really sets in. I need some kind of a chair with a big tray over it or something.

I have a JVC that I game on. Nothing twitchy. Maybe 2 frames of input lag, its not bad. pardon the pincushion distortion, phone cam. Gaming on a 10' screen is awesome.

Look to see if your projector has a game mode or similar. On my Epson 5030ub, it reduces input lag considerably if I set image processing to fast instead of fine.

For sone ganes, the extra input lag doesn't bother me (shooters do, racing not as much).

I like having a 100" to view while kicking up my feet and relaxing. H honestly, I still prefer Xbox One for projector gaming due to text scaling in sone games. Steam big picture makes controlling from the couch easier with a game pad which is nice.

Acer BD 5910 H or something like that. 1920x1080. 3D. Paid 500 new. Only cheap thing about it is very touchy to focus but...
10 foot screen. Games like a champ. If there's lag I don't notice it. Using a 980.
