AMD & NVIDIA GPU VR Performance: Pool Nation VR - If shooting pool is a passion of yours, then Pool Nation VR should be on your list if you own an HTC Vive. Even if you are not a pool shark, this title will likely lure you in to spending many hours shooting stick. But to make it look stunning, you will need a heavy duty GPU up to the task.

Good review. Thank you for also noting the VR Works implementation in the game. Excellent example of NV spending their time on their preferred engine (and it is a nice looking game, even if not maxed out). AMD spent the time on Vulkan, NV on UE4 and it shows in both cases.

Edit: and big ups for the 980ti crushing this title so hard. That's impressive for a two year old card.

Would have liked to have seen more actual pool in their demo video instead of breaking beer bottles. Either way... it gave me a little headache.. how long was that? 60, 90 second?

I wonder how it would be with the actual headset gear.

Plenty on Youtube. Just would rather use the devs videos in our articles.

I wonder how it would be with the actual headset gear.

I think I commented on this...

I've been happy with my 970 so far....I have a 1070 Zotec Amp sitting in my Amazon cart....just havn't needed it yet.

Interesting to see VRWorks showing up now. Wonder if this is the start of the deluge coming up?

Yeah, some specific optimizations or hardware use in a title. Too bad LiquidVR is no where to be seen unless it will be used on PS4VR. I think using something like VRWorks will increase performance and IQ significantly when used and then again when two cards can render to each eye. So a lot of performance can be had with VR much more so then what is being used. In other words I really don't think there will be too much hardware limitations (Well not thinking about AMD here) for dramatic increases of IQ.

Any chance of HardOCP doing a review of the beta ASW setting now available for the Oculus Rift??? It's a registry hack but it's legit, some people are claiming miracles enabling it......note this isn't Asynchronous Time Warp, it's Asynchronous Space Warp..one of the features that is driving down the entry-requirements for Oculus Rift (and VIVE soon I'm sure, too) on PC.....but its not out in an official release yet.

With the camera on it mapping out multiple players would be cool, other than the wires.

Looks like one of the better VR games and like fun.

Good game, I picked it up on a sale not too long ago. Wish there were more mini-games but it is fun to mess around with. Performance is really good.
