Ugliest Tesla You Will Ever See

I like it all other than the tail light design. The rear wide body design just doesn't look right from the back mixing the hard sharp angles of the rear with the smooth curve of the front is kinda jarring. Other than that, I think it looks decent.

I feel like all that extra junk is going to increase the car's drag coefficient for no benefit (certainly isn't for cooling the break pads and doubtful it'd do much for down force). Seems entirely form over function.

Looks better than this awful one in my neighborhood:

^ did they just get some curb rash or something and instead of buying a new rim they just tied the striping to the valve stem?

people born before 1970 won't like this.

i think it's cool, in a video game sort of way

So because this guy recorded some songs, wears hipster gear, and refers to himself in a very stupid way... he gets a green light to destroy a Tesla's drag coefficient and make it look like ass in the process?

I'd have a lot more respect for the guy if he just used his name in a normal manner. My name is Jeff, but I don't go around telling the world my name is Je.ff.otron.5000

I think it looks pretty cool and even if I didn't I'd still think it was cool that he's modded his car that way he likes. I only make fun of cars that are badly modded, style is in the eye of the beholder and who am I to judge?

Am I the only one that had to Google "Will I Am" to figure out who it belonged to? I'm not big a fan of hip hop, so that might explain it...

More synth pop, but I'm going to assume you don't listen to that either.

Personally I think it would look bad ass with this exact design but totally matte black - top to bottom, front to back, nothing shiny on it save for the glass aspects. As it is, can't stand it much and I see Tesla vehicles all the time since I live next to the only Supercharger in Las Vegas, like literally looking down on it from my apartment building balcony. ;)

I bet Will.i.am probably spent about as much customizing it as he did for the vehicle itself. All that wasted money, I swear, it's just sickening sometimes to see it happen but what can you do.

It could very well just be me, but I can't believe someone would do this to a Tesla. I know, I know, it belongs to a celebrity so we should expect this kind of stuff but damn man, that thing is fugly.

Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate...wait...no, that's Taylor Swift!

Eh, I think it looks good. Normal Tesla wins no beauty contest anyway, it's not like he did this to a Ferrari or some hand crafted car that is a work of art to start with. His now looks different than the ones the factory squirts out.

No thanks. It looks like it was meant to be in Demolition Man, but was a rejected design.

He's from the Steve Jobs school of licence plate display I see.

Well... Yeah, but not because of his eccentric behaviour (which has made him quite wealthy of course), but because if you buy something, you can (with a few exceptions) do whatever you want to it (provided it's still also street legal in the case of a car). Bill.he.is gets to mod his Tesla just like Billy-bob gets to jack up his '97 honda accord and add a plywood spoiler to the trunk and glue a bacofoil 'intake' to the hood.

There's no accounting for taste, although personally I think that Tesla looks OK, it's certainly distinctive.

Looks tacky and cheap like that imho... but to each his own.

Not gonna lie, that's me 6 months into car ownership, I eat curbs for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I under estimate my turns way too often.
Damn... I haven't hit a curb in over 10 years... The one time I did was during a 60mph back-roads drift in the snow.

It probably depends on where and how you drive. Some places have nice wide lanes, and some drivers like to take up two lanes to turn like they're driving a bus.

I mostly hit the curb parking because the streets are narrow unless i want to be missing a mirror when parking i'm going to try to hug the curb sometimes i hug is so well i'm rubbing on it as im backing up and centering myself.

In Miami everything is designed with tight lanes and curbs everywhere. My parking garage entrance for work has an incredibly tight 180 degree turn that has to be made and I tend to hit it once in awhile, usually not too bad but I hit it particularly bad about a year back which took a chunk off the rim. I once made a turn into a shopping center, ate the curb and punctured my tire on the rim.

Great, so these are the types of douches that go over speed bumps at some odd angle at a snails pace because they decided that their car needs to be so low no one can put so much as an arm under it.

A car should have an engine that uses a burned fuel. To save money on fuel, use a Diesel engine, a Hybrid or both. You can even use free waste vegetable oil as Diesel fuel if you do a few modifications (tank heaters) and filter the heck out of it. I don't get these electric cars. They pollute way more if they are powered by coal or oil plants. The batteries blow up on impact. You can't tune them. They have no horsepower compared to a powerful sparked or Diesel engine. A firmware update could ruin the whole car. They are super-traceable. They take hours to charge. If they run out of charge, they are ruined.

False, you can tune traction control to the tires/current grip for maximum acceleration in various conditions.
They have way more HP and torque that most V8s and many Diesel engines.

An ECU update on any current model car could brick the whole thing (I update mine weekly for tuning... I've had it go wrong once).

Tesla has a quick-swap setup where you literally swap the battery on the car at a pit-stop and are on your way a few minutes later... if that becomes mainstream and batteries become universal, that would be epic.

We just need to get off of coal power and go all nuclear and then find a way to deal with the pollution caused by battery production/disposal/recycling and we'll be good.

The stock Tesla is ugly..This is a vast improvement..except for the wheels. Those are pretty horrible.

It is awesome af! Loved the rims and doors and everything about it.

Not only does it look like shit stylistically, it looks like a total hack job.

This "elsewhere emissions" hypothesis is a myth. If you think your diesel engine vehicle is more efficient than a coal or oil plant + distribution requirements of an electric car, you are misinformed.

Car/truck engines are extremely inefficient for actually moving the vehicle. Even Diesel cars cap out at about 20% efficiency while electric cars are at about 80% (mostly due to charging inefficiencies). Even with losses from transmission/distribution from power plants it is not even close; average annual loss due to this was only 5% in 2014 How much electricity is lost in transmission and distribution in the United States? - FAQ - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

So with pretty much any electric car you are consuming far less power and thus producing far less of a carbon footprint.

they both look pretty awesome to me, but I drive a beat up F150 so what do I know? *shrugs* lol
