BATTLEFIELD 1

DICE and a few other game companies historically release on Tuesdays and they seem to like late October early November.

Therefore I'm going to say...
October 18
October 25
November 1
November 8

My money is on 1-2 weeks before COD infinite warfare.

it releases on Oct. 21st but the 'early enlister deluxe edition' buyers get access 3 days early on Oct. 18th.

So reading up on the late-to-the-game Classic mode that DICE LA added to BF4, I hope it makes a comeback. It's essentially an in-between with Hardcore and Casual(Normal).

- 100% Health (From Normal)
- No Regens
- Spawn on Squad Leader
- No 3d Spotting
- No Friendly Fire
- Mags do not replenish (dropping a half empty mag loses the ammo)
- No 3rd Person

I like it.

I like 3rd person for vehicles to be honest. The situational awareness is needed, as infantry is disproportionately effective against tanks in Battlefield games. Suicide jeeps, C4 and the like.

I will punch your kitten for anyone pre-ordering this game to get the 'Hellfighter Pack' or pre-ordering it period. If you do not have a kitten, I will supply one, punch it, and give it to you.

Must say though, I got to see where this is going. Could work.
---------------------

If you punched a kitten I'd punch you if you were within 3ft or less

don't forget to sign up (if you haven't already) and set your platform preference at battlefield insider by Aug 21st

Oh wow, EA really jumped the gun: They've already announced the sequel:

this looks really good. last time i got excited for a bf game was bf3. how long does the beta last?

Don't forget to buy the Ultimate Edition for $129.99

Battlefield 1 Ultimate Edition for PC Download | Origin Games

So it looks like Premium will be $49,99.

Was it the same price last time or did it go up from $39,99? I always wait for Black Friday when I can get both for around $59.99 so I don't remember what Premium costs.

What's this about "Elite" classes? Not sure I like the sound of that... though of course I will buy Premium for whatever reason.

They are a pickup that you find on that map like the heros in Star Wars Battlefront

Signed up for the beta. Hopefully its good. Need a new game to play besides Overwatch.

Is there hardcore mode?
No go for me if there isn't. Can't stand normal mode at all.

Basically this is the next best game waiting to come out that I already have pre-ordered.

Cant wait for the open beta, excited to try this game out on my PC and PS4 and see how it looks/plays on both so I can decide what to get it with. Hate the fact I even have to consider the PS4 but unless there is a server browser and user ran dedicated servers with admins I get to worried that it will become another PC hacker shooter fest :(

Old video but guy is getting like 100 FPS with a 1070 so should be fine with a my 980ti

Video at 15:56 shows a capture flag going up pretty nice animation

Pretty sure this will have the same server browser and admin privileges BF4 has.

Battlelog will not be in BF1 so it will be different than BF4 as far as server browser. There have also been a lot of rumors that there will not be rentable servers which means no admin at all.

Rumors at this point. My clan leaders have not been hearing this at all, and one of them has very close ties with several DICE developers. When he prompted them regarding server administration and renting servers, he was told "You will be pleasantly surprised."

I believe a lot of these rumors stem from Battlefront's lack of server browser and the belief this is the new route DICE would take with all of their games.

I bet they will keep matchmaking but it will be optional just like it was in BF4 when you hit the "Play now" versus choosing the server yourself. I highly doubt they will get rid of the ability to rent servers from third parties. If they do, then EA/DICE has to spend the money to keep the servers running. I don't believe they are prepared to do this, especially after how this process flopped on SW Battlefront PC version. Battlefield is EA/DICE's cash cow. They aren't going to kill it with such an immediate and drastic change that would piss off the community.

Cavalry class...

And I gotta say the graphics of the game are looking pretty good overall as he's cruising around in the video...

If they do not have servers with admins and some form of customization. I will just go deeper into Planetside. I seriously doubt they will go full Battlefront though.

Tropic Thunder Reference btw.

beta starts up this Wednesday...it will not require a PlayStation Plus account to play multiplayer however you will need an Xbox Live Gold account should you want to play the open beta multiplayer on Xbox One

Looking forward to the beta in a couple days. BF4 is still fun to play and I doubt they will go full Battlefront re: server browser, it would kill the franchise on PC for sure. Active communities and admins make BF a fun game.

If it's a total fail then I guess I will be reinstalling Planetside haha.

does anyone have an idea on how well BF1 plays @ 1080P on an old r9 280X card ?
wondering if i will have to upgrade graphics card for this ?

any chance i can play at 1440P if i get a new monitor ?

Some of the rumors stem from Rcon forums where they were told by DICE devs at Gamescom there would be rentable servers but no server customization. Combine this with the loss of battlelog and many of the useful server tools could be going away.

Also rumors point to servers only being allowed directly from DICE.

I just wonder if this will turn into MW2 and IWNET.

Interesting. Could be true, partially true, or both rumors could be true. One or both rumors may also be lies from DICE.

DICE devs tell our clan leaders that they will be "pleasantly surprised" while at same time telling RCon devs (who make plugins for procon, most popular 3rd party management tool) there will be no server customization.

This tells me one thing...
DICE upgraded their own shitty server admin tools and are forcing out 3rd parties from managing their servers. They did this due to the absolutely miserable failure BF4 "official" servers were in dealing with cheaters and griefers. Given their current track record, I don't expect this solution to work out well.

However, I suspect that is only part of the truth. I have a feeling that they are leaving something out. It could be really good news in that was said only applies to "official" servers or the info only applied to the Beta. It could also be really bad news and our worst fears could be realized when clans can't manage servers the way they need to by getting rid of cheaters and griefers efficiently.

I'm going to try and stay optimistic for now, only because DICE knows they are on thin ice with the atrocious BF4 launch and also because of complete lack of facts on the matter.

If you have links to the information on RCon forums regarding the rumors you mentioned, I would love to read them.
