Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2- Inside Development: Matchmaking

Learning from their experiences with Titanfall 1, the development team plan to make the matchmaking a lot quicker and the skill make-up of the matches will be closer...this is being done by reevaluating players’ skills at the end of each match globally...they also discuss the servers that will be deployed across the multiple cloud providers and how that will affect matchmaking...

Titanfall 2 Single Player Gameplay Quick Look...

the guy at the end looks like the villain from Far Cry 3

looks like it has potential...Titanfall was rough around the edges but the core gameplay was fine for the most part...with a few tweaks this could be the game everyone was hoping the first one would be...I have more hope for Titanfall 2 then Watch Dogs 2 (which looks awful)

To be honest: I'm not sure the majority of people who played this game to the end (i.e. Gen 10 and competitive, so on) were clamoring for a solo campaign. Part of the "we're different" feeling was that it didn't try to lead you along a COD-style campaign. That said this looks great and all... but I'll take a stellar commitment to multiplayer over half a game in solo and the game as it was in multiplayer.

Being this game is for Next Gen system I suspect it will be better for both consoles and PC.

Is single campaign of Titanfall2 will be like campaign in BF of COD:? Any news?

Reasons given:

Optimizations to support "min spec" not yet completed.
Fears that PC users will data mine files to reveal info about single player campaign.

Laughable. The console is your "min spec" and people have data mined console betas in the past.

By the way, here is a direct link to the source. The DSOGaming blurb doesn't mention the data mining fear. I wonder why?

Yeah I kind of saw this news and shook my head. I played Titanfall (1) to death. This one?

"Past performance is no indicator for future success..."

I'm not a fan of the 3rd person animations for entering the titans. I won't lie, I'm still sour over their reasons for excluding PC betas (and c'mon, this game is slated for October and they haven't ironed out min spec details in August?!).

No PC beta? LOL. The first one was already DOA since nobody played it.

I was watching some gameplay of the multiplayer technical test going on this weekend for consoles...disappointing...plays more like CoD and something seems missing from the first game...now it's all about camping and running around...seems like they dumbed the game down...hopefully I'm wrong as I was hoping that the second game could fulfill the potential that the 1st game teased

Yeah they made some very big changes - titans have no shields, there is no titan timer (i.e. if your team is getting destroyed you could go an entire round w/o a titan). The weapons themselves seem a bit odd, and hip-fire seems to have crazy aim assist.

Opinions I have read on neogaf from people playing the beta mirror this sentiment. My spidey senses are predicting that with competition from BF1 and CoD this is going to be another fail even on consoles.

This game had so much potential. I just don't get how disconnected Respawn is from their fans. Sigh...

Respawn details Titanfall 2 changes due to feedback...

Over this past weekend, we’ve heard a lot of passionate feedback from Titanfall fans. Even though the Tech Test build is a couple months old, we learned some valuable things based on your feedback. Some of these changes have already been addressed and will be updated for weekend two of the tech test, with other changes making it into the final game...

Titanfall 2

at least they're listening to the negative backlash from players...some of the changes sound good...

Yup. It is going to fail harder than the first bc they STILL don't get it. Wtf? Derps

And what about PC-specific goodies? If you've got the horsepower you can crank up VFX particle counts, shadow detail, and enable HBAO+ for the most supreme Titanfall 2 experience. Might as well play with that FOV slider while you're at it. If you're one of those ultra-immersive types then you'll be happy to know that ultra-wide 21:9 monitors are supported at 2560x1080 and 3440x1440. Actually, you know what? Here's the list:...

I'd play the shit outta that. May have to look into building another PC here in the next year or two though. Total bill from PC Parts Picker came out to be ~$1500 though.

Nice. Attrition was pretty much all I played in the first one. I also appreciate the full disclosure at the start of the video.
Frothy's a good guy. His videos really helped for Titanfall (1). I can see more of the same already happening.

Looks really cool, now to wait and see if it's all marketing crap or not.

This is EA we are talking about, it spends more money on marketing to generate hype than on actual game development. Rule of thumb for any AAA game these days, wait for the user reviews.
