WoW; 6h expansion Legion

Been playing again after a year or two hiatus (forgot how long exactly). I was instantly reminded last night why I multibox and avoid the community - it's horrid.

I was questing in Westfall and had to do a quest where a scripted sequence happens and you wait for 4 thugs to attack you. I get to the area and there are about 5 people there. I thought they were in a group so I waited for them to finish the sequence. One person walks away and hands in the quest. The sequence eventually resets and once again it is every man for themselves to get the aggro and get the question completion. I watched as each and every person did the same thing over and over until one guy was left. No one grouped with each other, no one even asked to group. The last person didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting for him to finish and didn't even attempt to steal the mobs.

Took like 10 minutes for everyone to finish, I had Beverly Hill Cop 2 going in the background so that helped. Aside from that, it's still annoying having to quest when other people around - it's the same mob-stealing bullshit I remember from back in the day. Someone sees you then frantically starts running around and grabbing all the mobs in an area for themselves.

LMAO, the problem is not them or the community its you being uninformed... Quest mobs are shared, you could have completed it but you stood there like a tool all the while judging those around you for playing like they should have been.

We actually could do a raid group if theres enough of us. Raids should be customizable difficulty depending on size between x-amount of players (I think 10 is minimum). I would also be into a cross realm Rated BG group and some Arean partners

I mean, not everybody reads patch notes. At the same time, I don't see any mention in his post about asking if they wanted to group for the quest. He said he assumed they were in a group...but after the first person walked away, why not say "Group up for this?" or literally just start handing out invites? Every time that kind of thing happens to me I just spam everyone in the area with invites and nine times out of ten I get a group together and we all finish faster. Now the way things work is multiple un-grouped people can all tag the same mobs for quests so it's not always necessary.

I'm getting flash backs of TBC release on an affliction warlock. Competing with mobs waiting for that first DOT to tick. Pissed me off so much.

Well I caved and re-subbed. So much ability pruning across the classes, really do not like the extent of it. At least on my warlock and hunter it feels like I hit the same 4 or 5 buttons and never do anything else.

I did boost an elemental shaman and having fun with it, even though I have no idea what I am doing. Felt way more engaging than my warlock or hunter. Warlock has been my main since vanilla and my hunter was always my next class. But the shaman has been really fun the few hours I've played. I hear shadow priest are also good right now but haven't tried it out yet.

Demon hunter intro was fun. But now that I'm doing the invasion I die a lot. I don't think melee is for me.

Invasions give rediculous XP and up to ilvl 720 gear. Its neat to see auto-scaling actually work and it brings characters of all levels together for world content. They are a great way to skip past Cat/MoP/WoD content straight to 100.

The karazan quest is also activated now, moving dalaran over kara. Legion is looking pretty good.

Give it time, for the most part the pruning makes sense.

Shaman in general is just killer this time around. Every spec is absolutely top notch for gameplay (not paying any attention ATM to balance or whos top DPS) they are flat out FUN. Give Enhance a shot too, may as well go grab some weapons from invasions.

The invasion bosses are more than a bit ridiculous and one shot just about every non tank. I dont even bother with any melee, just afk on top of a building when they are around.

Hunters are outright unplayable right now. The BM rotation is literally, 3, spells

Karazhan is back! Revamped with all the original bosses, but you can still farm the old version, if you wish. I should go back and get the mount from the Huntsman one of these days.

It sounds like they are really trying to push content with Legion, which is awesome news. The fact that the 7.1 patch is going on the PTR as soon as Legion launches is pretty cool. Hopefully, they really learned their lesson with WoD and it's severe lack of content (they are saying all the right things, at least). We're down to about 2 weeks now, and I'm ready to roll.

Man, I wish I had the pleasure of saying, "Me and my gf are seriously loving this game", but unfortunately, my gf does not like video games.

Haha mine either, she does love reading though which makes it easy for me to play. She gets the upstairs and I take the basement which means I get to use the htpc and projector :D

My wife hasnt done any mythic dungeons and what not in WoD so yesterday i made her heal some. She was worried but I figured she had it. She ended up getting her mythic trinket off the first boss, And last week we did time walking and she got that hella rare drake mount. Legion is already shaping up to be better then i expected

Just do it!!
Maybe winter time. I'm enjoying summer too much to get back into raiding again. That, and what is it legion? $60? Along with $15 per month? meh. I currently have a thousand different places that $75 could go right now.

I've been back a few weeks now, since the pre expansion Legion patch, and I am enjoying the game a lot again. I haven't played for almost two years, just got burned out, and sick of the game, but Legion brings back the good old feel again

Anyone would, but when you get to the point where you're choosing between players that all are able to stay alive, you're going to want the ones that stay alive and do the most damage/healing. When you're talking about decent raiding guilds, the staying alive part is taken for granted. If you can't do mechanics or whatever, you're not getting a raid spot anyway. That's where maximizing your damage/healing comes into play.
This is what turned people off from WoW and damage meters/gear checking, people using them to kick in 5 mans. Min/Max is fine for progression raiding, but people pulled that shit into 5 mans.

Enjoying the prelaunch stuff a lot, can't decide between a hunter or mage for a ranged dps. been a melee guy all the time (played warrior since game first launched)

The invasion is pretty fun. I've had about 5 or 6 alts in their 80's and low 90's that I just didn't want to level. Only two left right now to get to 100. I like this as a catch up method and am very glad they tweaked the XP again.

The only times I have used meters to kick someone in a 5 man is when I don't see them on the meter. Some people will join and not do anything but just sit there.

What's with the only fury generator with the DH set to an auto attack? Complete garbage.

I was owning with my DH until you had to choose between DPS or tank. Once I chose DPS, it went from Demon Bite to Demon Blades.

I got turned on by the new Legion Invasion Plate set you get doing the 4 stages. It looks really cool, but I am not a fan of the Green look, so I found the red style here;

Smoldering Helm - Item - World of Warcraft

But only items I can find are the AWESOME Helm, the Chest, and the Legs. Where's the Shoulders, Waist, and Boots to match like this image below ?

same, got my mage from lv 30 to lv 55 in 2 hours lol. Once he gets to 60 I'm using my boost on him then I'm going to level my priest from 90-100. If you on alliance reset farming westfall is by far the best xp

You picked demon blades. Change the talent if you want, but demon blades is more dps.

But don't you just sit there and wait for it to auto attack to generate more fury? IMO, it sucks that way. I rather click than sit there and do nothing, lol.

I have the full set from doing the invasions. Green set. I had no clue about the red. Looks pretty wicked.
I have the Box Collectors Edition on order have had it on order since February I think. So not able to play with a DH yet. Though probably will not anyways.

Yeah, waiting for auto attacks suck, but there are two other choices on that talent tier to choose if you want.

I haven't played in years. Just wanted to ask how is paladin healing. Loved it.

I logged into a lvl 1 bank alt I had in Ogre mire (sp?) After years away. Sensory overload. I Feel like I'm way behind the curve now. Still debating if I want to resub or not. Probably better if I didn't get sucked back in. :p

Now is a good time to resubscribe. They pretty much changed the gameplay of all classes so you wouldn't be too far behind the learning curve.

Both MM and BM hunters are somewhat overtuned right now, but they should continue to pull good numbers. BM is extremely boring, MM has a few more keybinds depending on how you spec but it's still not the most complex spec either.

Fire mage looks really fun, you should give it a try.
