I scored 9 067 in Fire Strike Ultra

There is mine at stock settings using the new SLI bridge

Pretty much spot on as to overall performance to my 980ti SLI overclocked setup: I scored 9 068 in Fire Strike Ultra

Although your CPU is pulling much more weight then mine in the score roll-up.

Graphics score only comparison for the above two scores:

My 980TI SLI OC score is: 9784
Your 1080 SLI @ stock is: 9454

While I'd like to upgrade, those numbers @4k resolution simply do a piss poor job of enticing me. I'll keep holding out for the arrival of a 1080Ti or Titan model and have another look then. Anyone with a 980 or less though, I'd say go for it!

I had the 980 Ti Hybrid SLI before I step-up to the 1080 FE SLI. I felt if i step-up i would get better re-sale value when and if i ever decide to sell my 1080 FE SLI. With that said, I really like my 1080 SLI's since the only game i play is "The Division" and it runs so much better than my 980 TI Hybrid SLI @ stock. I tend not to OC my cards.

YMMV, yeah, honestly if you can Step Up to 1080 then do it. If not, keep the 980 TI until 1080 TI (if they do) or when 1180's come out as you are currently doing.

I scored 6 441 in Fire Strike Ultra (Graphics score: 6625)

Not validated yet because 3DMark SysInfo hasn't been updated to recognize Pitan X. This is just a stock run. 30% higher total score than my overclocked Mitan X, 32.4% higher graphics score.

Jesus. I barely managed 5K in FSU using my OC 980Ti. Now Pitan is pushing 50% more >_>
GOD DAMMIT I NEED A PITAN TO PLAY 3DMARK

I scored 7 591 in Fire Strike Ultra

Here's a Titan XP overclocked on air. Graphics Score
7721
What is your overclock?

I didn't have a lot of time to play around with mine last night. I went straight to +200 MHz with AB 4.3.0 Beta 4 and got driver crashing after 10 minutes of gameplay testing. I may have gotten a turd compared to all the others I've seen so far.

One nice thing as far as FS Ultra goes, though, is that I nearly broke 7000 graphics score simply by increasing the power and temp targets to maximum.

+215 core, +650 mem, 120% power target, 90c temp target (prioritized) in precision. I haven't touched my OC since the first day I got it, but I will probably play around with it this weekend and see if I can do any better. My OC was just a quick and dirty one, I'm sure I can make it better.

My 1070's I scored 8 882 in Fire Strike Ultra, Should I go for a 6850 Chip for the 2 16 lanes >.> I just really like the my 6800k that can OC to 4.4ghz.

It's not worth upgrading in my opinion. Remember, we're talking about ~5% here, all things being equal excluding lanes. And it's always best to get multiple confirmations rather than basing your decision off one random stranger on the internet. Anyway, the people who are probably crying for the last 5% are the type of people who probably will throw down a few thousand on the greatest hardware available. And I'm not even sure it would make a difference with 1070s. I just found it interesting, as previously, 8x vs 16x had been roughly 1-2% difference at best, but I'm clearly seeing a 5% difference, even in games, which I would say would be more than just a normal variance between runs. Still, it would be nice if someone else with the new Titan X's in SLI could test this out.

Where are you setting power and temp settings in MSI Afterburner? Or did you switch to EVGA Precision?

Still using AB. It's under the core voltage slider in the middle when using modern skins.

Dude...that's crazy! I can't believe the old-school skin doesn't show it. Thanks a lot for the tip! Bummer...I dig the old-school look. :)

I scored 7 624 in Fire Strike Ultra

Sold my two 980Ti's and went with a new Titan. Not too shabby for a single card.

Mostly gaming in VR these days, so I wanted the best single card performance possible, which is now roughly 52% faster than my 980Ti on a heavy OC... and my SLI'ed 980Ti's on an all out OC would only pull in ~18% more.

The Titan also purrs along at a max of 35C under full load and idles at 26C. (And that's in a 25C room!)
Gotta love water cooling!

Got a really spooky score (and it actually unlocked an achievement).
