NVIDIA Announces The New Titan X

I'm in the same boat. Still waiting for shipment notification.

What I find annoying is, I can't check the status of my order.

The system never prompted me to add a password when I placed my order.

The order number based password recovery dialogue requests the last four of my credit card, but I didn't use a credit card, I used paypal...

I logged into my Nvidia account (which I forgot I had), and the only order that is in there, is a free copy of Resident Evil 5 that came with a GPU ages ago.

So, maybe my order has been moved to backorder status? I have no way of knowing though, as I can't reach the order status page.

I sent their customer support a message, but I have not yet heard back. If this non-shipment continues for much longer, I am going to call their support and request a free upgrade to faster shipping to compensate for the delay.

Keep us posted. I will do the same if needed.

Well, EK recommends applying GPU paste using the X method with a line through the middle, not the typical CPU style pea sized ball in the center.

Sort of like a superimposed X and +

Ya, I've always done the X plus + pattern on CPU and GPU.

My Franken Titan is almost alive.

Yeah, Nvidia's websites suck balls. I have so many different accounts for all their various sites. Their webstore isn't even theirs, it's ran by a 3rd party.

It gets even more confusing when you need to RMA a device you bought from them - can't do it through their store, have to use nvidia support, and they create an RMA... then you get to deal with people who don't understand english lol. I RMA'd my Shield Android TV, and they were supposed to send me a return shipping label to return the defective one. I told them via my support ticket that I never got the return shipping label. They replied saying they'd email it when my replacement ships (meanwhile I had already gotten the new unit). I just stopped trying to tell them, and figured if they can't figure out, I'll have a free (broken) device... a month later they asked me where the defective unit was. I told them I never got a return shipping label and told them multiple times. So the guy who asked where it was sent me one. Then some other dude on the support ticket asked the same thing...

It appears to be run by Digital River, the same company that ran Microsofts Windows store, before they set up their own.
Ah, they are the same people that supplied my Vive Headset.
After getting no joy trying to get a return address from them through support, my bank contacted them directly for the return address and got no answer.
In the end I got a refund without returning it.
Muppets.

Man I envy you Pascal Titan buyers. I just can't rationalize 13 bens for my 1440 setup and my reduced gaming these days though ... but so shiny, haha. Damn, those oc'd numbers are impressive.

Damn. I was set to pull the trigger @ $999, but $1.2k is a bit too much. I really want to get away from SLI.

These EVGA 980Ti Hybrid kits are pretty nice quality. Glad I found them on Amazon for only $67.

That extra $200 is just a day's work. Spread that out over a month and that's around $10/day extra you have to save. You can do it!

Nice! I might rethink getting the 1080/1070 hybrid kit. I'm thinking that the only difference between it and the one they're making specifically for Pitan is an extra cutout for the additional 6-pin on the shroud, which can easily be modded. Could also do what you did and just use the mounting bracket instead of the whole kit.

I got the 980Ti kit for the double power connector cutout but I prefer my method using the aluminum OEM parts to the EVGA plastic shroud. All of these 980Ti/1080/Titan-XP Hybrid kits are the same really. All EVGA is going to do is take a 980Ti kit and change the wording in the instructions to Titan-X and change the box. ;)

So it looks like under water the cards will still be voltage/BIOS limited. I get no throttling but without more voltage/modified BIOS ~2100 MHz is looking like the limit under water. Works for me though as these cards scream at 2.1 GHz.

Bring on the modded BIOS!

So, I decided to call their customer support at 800-797-6530, since I didn't hear back from my online inquiry.

I reached the (presumably) Indian call center.

They told me that orders ship out based on "restock date" and that those that shipped yesterday must have had a yesterday restock date, and that mine had a "restock date" of today, and was currently in process and would be shipping out shortly, and to expect an email with shipping information.

The term "restock date" puzzled me, so I asked her if that meant that they became back-ordered and only came back in stock today, and she said no.

Seems sketchy to me, but as long as it ships today, I won't be making a stink about it.

Sounds like they're trying to confuse you. It may simply be that NVIDIA is taking orders for all cards that are already packaged off the assembly line, but simply haven't been delivered yet to their distribution centers.

Thanks for the update.

And thanks to Vega, I want a hybrid kit. Damn.

Welp I just ordered one, never bought a Titan before but I had some money burning a hole in my pocket, this should be quite the experience.

Calm!

Lol, man, I feel the same way - in the same boat, but damn, how pathetic are we to be so desperate?! lol.

It does make me laugh at myself, hope I never do this again...

Free shipping was 3-7 (presumably business) days - they have 3-7 [business] days to get the card in your hands. They're clearly prioritizing overnight shipping orders (which sucks for us but it is what it is).

Yep they just told me the same thing, err I shoulda opted for next day shipping lol. A well just have to wait now.

Been testing my card for a few mins. Mine boosts to 1823 out of the box. Boosts to 2050 while overclocked and can do +650 memory without artifacts. Pretty satisfied with the overclock currently its about 15-20% more performance gain in my limited testing (RotTR and Witcher 3). Will be testing to see if I can push it further, I don't think my core will boost higher without more voltage.

I love beating 4-way setups :D

Callsign_Vega --- 6700K / 4.8 GHz --- Titan-XP SLI, 2088 / 5594 --- 127.2 --- 5322 - 4K.

Two cards taking down 4-Way FuryX and previous 4-Way Titan-X. Not too shabby. :p

Quick comparison between 2015 and 2016 Titan X overclocked in Witcher 3. Minimum FPS greatly increased.

Witcher 3: 3440x1440 Ultra Settings + Hairworks (High+8xAA); Run through White Orchard
2015 Titan X: @ 1400 boost +350 mem
Min- 37
Max- 55
Avg- 43

2016 Titan X: @2063 boost +650 mem
Min- 73
Max- 90

I'm really curious what the average Titan XP overclocks to. Since almost every person who actually purchased the card that I've read about has their cards boosting higher than the few review samples Nvidia sent out, which is actually a little odd.

Received shipping notification at 8:55 PM EDT for my standard shipping order.

Edit: estimated scheduled delivery for Friday!

Maybe nVidia sent reviewers the ones with the BIOS set to the default condition and customers got the gamer's BIOS accidentally. :ROFLMAO:

Is this a single TXP or SLI? Your sig says you're running SLI so I wasn't sure.

I really need to stop looking at this thread.:ROFLMAO:
