Do adapters exist so I can plug in a phone to my modem?

Okay so this was hard to title so I'm sorry if it wasn't very accurate. So I am looking into replacing my families home modem (Arris TM722 leased by Comcast) with the Arris SURFboard SB6190. At first when looking into this I believed we didn't have a Comcast phone line (because we use Frontier as our phone provider), however I recently was made aware that we actually do have a Comcast phone line because it was part of a bundle to make our Internet + TV service cheaper. Now I am currently looking into if we can remove the phone from our bundle and save any money from Comcast.

However assuming (as I do) that we either can't or it won't save us any money, is there any way I can buy that SB6190 and some sort of adapter or something so I can still have our Comcast phone setup and functioning? Or am I stuck with the only option of instead buying the Arris TM822G or the Arris TG862G?

Pretty sure there is no adapter you can use.

However, since you are looking to get rid of the comcast phone to save money, you may want to look into getting a magic jack.

$35 a year for unlimited local and long distance calling and you just use a regular phone with it. And the magic jack is also on sale right now.. so you effectively get the magic jack for free.

Yeah, there are no stand-alone eMTA devices. They still require a cablemodem. So it looks like you're kinda stuck.

On business connections, you get two separate cablemodem devices (the eMTA device for multiple phone lines for anything more than 2 lines, and your data modem). But I'm fairly sure that Comcast won't let you get away with that on a home connection (though it never hurts to ask).

Here's the issue: My family runs a business in their house and while it might not be required it is extremely useful to have a regular phone line that doesn't become unusable when the power goes out. That is why we haven't just cancelled the service from Frontier (land line) and gone with the Comcast line (VOIP I believe). So far my replies to this post are saying that there is no adapter and therefore I am either stuck, have to buy a modem with the ability to plug in a phone or find out if I can remove the Comcast phone service and save some money which will allow me to get the SB6190.

If they recently signed up for phone service, you are probably locked in and they won't let your remove it. Having said that, not sure what the rules are for having Comcast phone service and then just not using it. Curious if they will even let you activate a non-phone modem modem and voluntarily not use the service.

I use an Obihai Google Voice adapter and Google Voice with a 4 set Panasonic phone system. Works perfect, not sure about using it for a business though.

To be clear the home is used as a business but both phone lines (Comcast and Frontier) aren't set up as business lines or anything, they are regular home consumer lines. The business aspect has to do with needing a home line that doesn't go out when the power goes out.
